Parts of our stay were great and others were not. We did expect better quality of the room for the star rating and the cost. It was clearly an apartment complex converted or utilised by the hotel. There were not many power points and at times there were very strong smells (both good and bad) throughout the floor. The restaurant had delicious food but very limited options for children. I would not recommend for family stay for this reason. Fortunately the kitchen were able to provide toast and vegemite when requested. The consistency of service by staff was interesting- at times very attentive and wonderful and at others brusque and/or we were entirely forgotten. The entry is lovely. A mixed stay.

First time visit to the hotel...wondering how come a hotel named SHADOW PLAY by Peppers....just 8 minutes walk to Crown and 20 minutes walk to Flinder st... lobby is small and very nice aromatherapy air in the lobby.. check in fast and efficient... the room is very nice...well furnished...clean fresh and very homey ambience...the drinks also very good....definitely must stay again when visit melbourne ...

We had a 2 bedroom corner apartment for a family of 3 , great having the two bathrooms and extra space. Everything in the apartment you could want , down stairs staff were all very helpful and nothing seemed to much to do. I would stay again without hesitation , oh and good location

A great experience. We pre arranged parking- yes that’s important and then changed cars. The kind lady on the phone took the details of the new car and reassured us the park would still be suitable- medium size car. We were welcomed and recognised as the same people who called. As we were gold Accor we were upgraded to a corner suite. Room 906. Very quiet and great for us as we had a small child and didn’t want to disturb others. The cot was set up ready to go. The kitchen had enough utensils to be useful and we cooked a few meals. The view was great and the outside balcony outstanding. A small garden and a few chairs to sit on. Better weather and it would have been idealic out there. Lounge area large enough and the round table functional for 4. 2 tv and one room with an ensuite. Another bathroom to help us get through the showers etc. staff were great. Must take into account the restaurant is not open every evening so check before you book if that’s import. Tram just outside and can walk to many places. There are plenty of places to eat out close by. I was impressed.
