We booked a standard room for three nights and on the surface it was reasonable value for money. The location is excellent being opposite the Skybus terminal. Trams at the door to take you anywhere and the staff were relatively friendly. However.......... On day 1 the electricity suddenly went off in our room after the kettle switched off. It eventually came back on after five or ten minutes and I called reception to ask if it was just our room or throughout the hotel. It turned out it was just our room and the response was let us know if it happens again. Over the course of our stay this happened intermittently and the response from reception was "we'll report it". On the second morning of our stay the power went of four times and again on the day we left. Each day the reception response was "sorry - we'll report it". The shower door needs to be closed to stop the steam setting off the fire alarm and on two occasions the power went off when we were in the shower, leaving the room pitch black. It was a very disappointing aspect of our stay that we were basically told to "suck it up" as no solution was offered such as the option to move to another room. Everything else was fine and I would stay at the hotel again but would insist on being moved immediately if this situation arose again.

Hotel was lovely and location is excellent but be aware rooms are tiny and can be noisy, the sink is in the main sleeping area not in the bathroom wealso had to go up and down stairs with our luggage to get to the correct lift to take us to our room so not ideal for older or less mobile visitors

Lovely accommodation central to everything. Efficient and friendly staff. Comfy beds. Considering location, noise level is at a minimum, which is hard to find in the inner city. BHOC was recommended to me by my daughter who has stayed on several occasions and rates it highly.

We had a great stay at Batmans on Collins the staff were excellent and couldn’t be more helpful. Perfectly situated for trains and busses, dining out and being a Tourist. We will stay again it’s our preferred hotel and reasonable priced.
