We stayed here prior to our cruise and I do agree with most of what the other cruise guest said. It is not in the fanciest location but we walked into the city twice a day and we felt safe, even if the traffic was whizzing past at great speed! Although it was quite snug, the room was fresh and clean and did the job for two nights prior to the cruise. (Ours overlooked the courtyard, so it was nice and quiet.) However, I would say that the staff made it a good experience - reception, bar staff and cafe staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. If you overlook the location, it was a really great place to stay.

This hotel would not of been our choice it was added onto a Cruise for 2 nights, its a mo frills functional hotel, modern decor no views, definitely ask for a room on a higher floor. We got put on level 1 very dingy outlook on dirty street, moved to level 4 much better. Location is not great, very scruffy district mainly car repair garages. Few restaurants around corner, supermarket across road. Metro & tram 10 min walk, plaka (main tourist area) 20 min walk but not nice walk, taxi approx 10 euros. We walked to tram stop and it took 20 minutes to beach. Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Front desk always managed and very helpful.

Bright airy reception and bar area with very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was varied and of good quality. Rooms are smallish but clean, not much storage but ok for a few days. Nice touches with slippers and toothbrush pack. Metro is about 5 minutes walk away. Has a few shops and cafes nearby.

Surprisingly impressed. Don't be put off with garish colours and basic Ikea type furniture. Receptionist and staff were excellent, kind and friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. The room was basic but had everything. Bathroom and walk-in shower brilliant. About 20 mins walk to Acropolis area, easy to find your way around. 10 mins to tram. We went down to coast in about 20 mins. No problem. Breakfast was brilliant, wide choice, even had egg and bacon. Country style sausages recommended. There's a fantastic Italian style takeaway/cafe around the corner and a supermaket opposite the hotel.

Very friendly and clean hotel we stayed 2 nights post cruise. The staff are very friendly particularly the receptionists and the lady who served at the bar and the front of the breakfast. The bar is not very atmospheric but the courtyard is nice and they are showing all the European championship football matches so caught the 2nd half of the England opener at 11:00 on our last night. Had a room at the front of the hotel but at night at least didn't find this to be a problem. Stayed during the recent very hot weather, walked to the Acropolis easily at 7:30 one morning but the rest of the time used the very cheap metro into and out of the centre Like some other reviewers used the Trykyklo taverna nearby for a drink and some light food. very much recommend. Nothing to do with the hotel but our transfer from the Piraeus port did not turn up. Walked over to the taxi ranks and was quoted a 35 euro charge to the hotel, walked back with our over the top luggage 5 minutes later and the price had mysteriously increased to 45 - 55 euros. Used the Uber app and the charge was 17 euros and the car was there 2 minutes later. In Athens, we recommend walking and the metro but if this is a problem Uber is your friend (and appears to use the same yellow cars)!!
