The hotel is great for anyone travelling for business to Newbury. The room was extremely comfortable and all the staff were very helpful. Also the bathroom was big and very clean. I stayed from Sunday to Thursday and the few times I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was great, especially the indian dishes. Breakfast was good as well They also have a nice courtyard area where you can enjoy a drink during the recent warm summer evenings. I will be returning for work in the area in a couple of weeks time and will definitely book again.

Just come home from a 2 night stay at this hotel. I have to say I'm disappointed. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the staff are lovely and very helpful. However the bed had to be one of the most uncomfortable that I've ever slept in. As you turn over the mattress springs creaked and I could literally feel them. Also there is no aircon, just a stand up fan and the room was very hot even with the windows open. In the High temperatures it must be unbearable. Lastly the food situation is very strange. They only have breakfast as they have no restaurant. They're in the middle of nowhere so I had to order dominoes. Tbh not really what I'd expect from a hotel that was over £100 per night. I could've complained but as I was only there 2 nights it didn't seem worth it. Lovely staff though.

We take guest comfort very seriously, and I apologise that the bed did not meet your expectations due to its condition. We are in the process of making some maintenance upgrades accordingly. In terms of the air conditioning, it is clearly advertised when you book that only our superior rooms have air conditioning. We do our best in terms of providing a comfortable atmosphere for all guests in all our rooms and therefore do provide a fan where air conditioning is not an advertised amenity, as was provided to yourself. Regarding dining options, dinner is advertised in the hotel and served every night in the restaurant and as per company policy, every guest is asked if they would lie to book for dinner on check in. Furthermore, in terms of the location, unfortunately, we have no control over this aspect of the hotel. Nonetheless, your feedback is invaluable as it helps us improve our services and facilities for future guests. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts with us. When we checked in, to when we checked out the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Shivi the receptionist couldn't do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. The room was lovely and clean many thanks to Loretta the housekeeper. We will be back

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, July 5th, as part of a coach trip to Windsor and Highclere Castle. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by Laura. After completing our choice of menu from 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts we went to our twin room, number 206. The room was spacious and clean, with nice furniture, exactly as portrayed in photos on-line. There were extra towels and pillows, tea and coffee making facilities, a fan, a hairdryer and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Our evening meal, at the request of the driver, was delayed by 30 minutes as we had arrived tardi at the hotel due to traffic en-route. Despite this our food was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and served by well trained staff. The evening concluded with drinks at the bar. After a comfortable nights rest we had a buffet breakfast of continental and/or full English, of equally good quality. The lovely Laura was on duty as we left for Highclere on what was a rainy morning and came outside to wave us off. My friend and I were impressed with the hotel, it was a pity due to the rain we could not take advantage of the courtyard and gardens which must be very pleasant on a fine evening. We would certainly stay here again

Claire, Sujoy, Abhishek, Shivangi and the team made our dream wedding come true! The venue and location are perfect and nothing was too much trouble. We had numerous family members and friends staying at the hotel for the weekend and their feedback on the hotel and food (the Indian menu is spectacular) was all very positive.
