Great hotel service needs improvement

We got to our room around 2.30pm after being told room was not ready by 2pm. They were painting in the hallway where our room was with quite toxic fumes (I had a 2 year old and 4 month old baby). Asked to be moved offered a room with a view of carpark told we had to move all of our own luggage with no assistance or trolley. We then got upgraded to a pool view room and settled at around 3-4pm. We reserved breakfast for the 2 days we stayed and the restaurant had no bookings on their system we couldn’t use the room to charge because our new room had not been updated in the system. I was staying with my young family and sister from NZ. It was also my birthday. The hotel is nice and a good location but the service really does need improvement.

Check in was not straightforward. The manager did not seem to be proficient so the included bfast that we were told we were getting as part of the deal did not eventuate.

Really enjoyable experience. Food was great, especially the buffet breakfast. Great room with a very comfortable bed. Not far from a lot of restaurants. The pool was lovely and inviting and didn’t seem to be ever too crowded even though there was a lot of people staying there.
