This is a very well equipped lodge with a big restaurant and bar, very comfortable cabins, a shop and most importantly a huge amount to see and do. You are surrounded by amazing scenery and wildlife and we wished we had more time to spend here to do some of the hikes.

Brilliant cabin stay, however NO wifi or tv in the cabin (only available in the reception area/lodge). The cabins are a little dated but fully functioning, good sized, comfortable beds, coffee pods, etc. We had a brilliant time, limited to board games and cards due to the absence of electronics. Staff were excellent and helpful. A little isolated and reliant on the onsite bistro and restaurant - thank goodness great buffet and dinner (food choices became limited when delivery was affected by snow - in September!!)

The location is gorgeous but the cabins need a serious update. The spa and bathroom is from the 80’s the room from the same era, can’t order a takeout meal from the tavern by phone have to walk down then wait at a minimum 30 minutes. Food is very average but paying a premium price. Peppers are taking advantage of the natural beauty of Cradle Mountain.

The Lodge is really well located next to the park gates. You can catch a shuttle bus into park if you have a ticket from the visitors centre. The bus leaves about 400m from the Lodge. Our room was comfortable and warm. There are walks close to the lodge but you need to enter the park to do many of the good ones. Food at the bar was ok but the beer was good. Food in the restaurant was significantly more expensive but also significantly better. This requires a booking. We did a spotlight tour to see animals in the park at night. This was well worth doing. Overall the higher prices are worth it for the location but it will not be a cheap stay. We found staff very helpful and friendly.

Stayed one night. Upon arrival, check in staff for us and another couple didn’t speak English very well and were hard to understand. Accommodation looks nice on first sight but closer looks show scratches, painting needed where smoke detector has been moved etc, dated bathroom. Common area lodge, tavern and restaurant have a nice feel. Foods at the tavern is average- sent back salt and pepper squid which was packet, mass produced overcooked and rubbery with lots of batter. Should’ve asked for a refund as round 2 wasn’t much better. Ragu pasta tasted like yesterday’s leftovers from the restaurant. Do not order the rose wine- it was disgusting. They forgot half or table order and we had to ask for the rest. Breakfast was included but only 1 barista coffee per person when you’re paying $500+ per night is ridiculous. Quality of breakfast was average. Would try somewhere else next time not here.
