Mantra Crown Towers

Enjoyed our stay. Good location, very close to beach but far enough to not get that overwhelming noise from the surf particularly at night. Pool is open til 10pm but is very poorly lit. Lower priced rooms are on the lower floors but you can still get great views Ocean, City, Rivers and Hinterland.

Lovely hotel, well suited for a fun and easy family experience. Staff always friendly. Rooms spacious and tidy. Pool area fantastic for kids. Nice location - easy waling distance from major city attractions. On site, undercover parking.

Great Facilities, beautiful view, friendly staff. We loved it. The apartment was 3 bedrooms with amazing view, walk in wardrobe, on-suite, decorated beautiful. The swimming pool, spa and the outdoor aria is stunning.

My husband & I stayed at the Mantra Crown Towers with our two boys (aged 4 & 7) and my Mum. We had a 3 bedroom apartment for 8 nights, and we were lucky enough to be able to check in before 12pm which was really helpful for us as we’d been in the car all morning. Our apartment was huge - the living area was a great size, the master bedroom had a walk in robe as well as an ensuite, and one of the other bedrooms with a double bed was probably the same size as the master. We overlooked the river, with partial ocean views from the master bedroom. We requested a higher level room, and we were happy to be on level 28. Due to this, we found we had uninterrupted views which was really nice. Although the decor is quite dated (particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms), the appliances were not. There was a huge fridge that kept everything completely cold, and stove and oven worked perfectly. The laundry was very handy, and washing machine and dryer worked perfectly. The bathrooms were a generous size with great water pressure. The air con was excellent. The balcony is long, but not very wide and we would’ve liked more than just a small plastic table with four plastic chairs, considering the room says it sleeps up to 8 people. Even a six people table setting would make more sense for a three bedroom apartment, but we still used this area daily. There are birds who land on the balcony looking for crumbs - we were told they are currawongs, and they do look a bit scary, probably because they closely resemble magpies! The pool facilities are incredible, and we were all down there multiple times a day. The boys loved the pirate ship and the slide, but also the two spas (one outside and one inside) and the indoor pool. The lagoon pool was lovely too, and the boys loved the novelty of the “cave”! During the day it does get busy, however I feel like there was enough different pools for you to be able to find a spot somewhere. Location wise, it’s a short walk to Coles, and also right near a tram station. You can also easily walk down to the beach. It’s far enough from Cavill Avenue that you don’t get too much noise as well, but still close enough if you want to walk (or catch the tram). Unfortunately I don’t feel that the hotel should really be boasting their “free parking” - they should be advising guests they need to find parking elsewhere. There are about maybe three spots available for guests - the rest of the private spots. It’s extremely hard to be able to get one of the spots for guests, and they really shouldn’t say that parking is included because it 100% isn’t!!

Bad points 👉 we had rat poo in our room 🤢 The reception manager was extremely rude to us about a pre planned late checkout that aparently she did not approve so we got a nasty phone call while we were packing up telling us to get out as if it was our problem that we were told that we could check out at 11, and accused us of making it up This was very disappointing as the other staff were really nice to us We came here with our extended family, 9 adults and 3 children we got 3 apartments for 7 nights which were all linked so that we could access each other's room, overall our experience was satisfying the Thai restaurant was so good and the pool was a godsend with the heat, however there was no safety precautions at the pool we saw multiple people hurt themselves while walking around with nothing to prevent slipping, one man slipped on the bridge while holding his baby and toddler and hit his head so hard he had to go to hospital, and our friend had a traumatic experience with being dunked under the water while holding her 18month old in the kids pool
