Breakfree Imperial Surf

We loves our stay at the Imperial hotel in Surfers. Reception staff are lovely and welcoming. The apartment itself was very clean and well presented. Views of both the city and the sea where we were lucky enough to be visited by birds and saw whales from our balcony. Great facilities in the room and kids loved the inside and outside pool. We felt relaxed in this room, lots of T.V channels for evenings in with the kids. Close to cafes and restaurants. We will definitely be back

Very comfortable stay, reasonable accommodation, not modern or fancy, but with a kitchen and beach views it was still a fantastic place to stay that we would go back to. The location is great, an easy walk to all the Surfers' attractions, but not right in the hustle. An easy 5 min walk for our youngest child.

So the review options don’t allow me to choose the proper date of stay but the last time I stayed there was in 2021. It was my third and last stay at the apartments. Unfortunately, the building had been affected by the new building next door. Every time we stayed there was issues with something not working or not in use. First the pool, then the lifts and lastly there were metal scaffolds all through the car park. It was actually worrying. If you do choose to stay here, the positives are: 1) Friendly staff 2) Location is very central 3) Ask for a room with a sea view as it is front line and you don’t get a better view than that 4) Spacious apartments 5) Self-contained so the convenience of being able to have stuff in the fridge and being able to cook rather than go out all the time. What could be improved: 1) Cleanliness level. It’s not a cheap apartment to stay at despite the age of the building, it is in a top knotch location thus the price. I get the feeling though that they go el-cheapo in housekeeping. Whilst this has been an issue every time, we were willing to overlook it because of location convenience. 2) Housekeeping. If the apartment is booked for four people then please leave enough towels and stuff for four people… On two out of our three stays we had to request extra’s to suit the number of people staying. Also, consider if the guests are staying for more than a couple of days and leave the number of things required for their whole stay. It’s annoying when you book to stay for 7-9 days but only get given enough toiletries for 2. We are paying per night so these things should come without having to ask. I gave two stars because the last stay was below average and we have chosen not to return again. It’s a shame because the location and staff have been good but whoever decides and manages the housekeeping could use some guidance. Also the safety of the building after seeing the scaffolding underground put the nail in the coffin for us.

From the first helpful and friendly phone call with Misty to book our stay, to our warm welcome and everyday throughout our stay - Imperial Surf delivered so many things. A friendly face on reception, amazing views from every room, comfortable beds, super clean apartment, well appointed kitchen, laundry and bathrooms - our whole stay was enjoyable, relaxing and exactly what we needed.

Ho soggiornato per 3 notti in appartamento con 2 camere e vista oceano. Le condizioni dell’appartamento erano pessime: le enormi vetrate da cui avremmo dovuto godere della vista sull’oceano erano sporchissime. Ho passato la prima ora a pulirle personalmente. Il ventilatore della camera da letto era completamente arrugginito e sulla pale vi era un accumulo di polvere che mi impediva di respirare bene. Ho chiamato il numero indicato ma dopo un attesa estenuante la signora che ha risposto ha detto che non potevano far i nulla; alla mia richiesta di poter avere almeno delle plastiche per coprire le pale, sottolineando la pericolosità di poter respirare della vernice arrugginita, mi è stato risposto che non avevano personale disponibile fino al mattino successivo. Ho scritto una mail di complaint ma nessuno mi ha mai risposto e comunque nessuno nei giorni successivi è passato per risolvere il problema (ho in autonomia coperto il ventilatore con le federe dei cuscini non usati. Anche lo stendino per il bucato e del tutto pieno di ruggine. In generale l’appartamento cadeva a pezzi … non capisco come si possano ‘vendere simili soluzioni abitative’. La pulizia e il livello di servizio pessimi !
