Enjoyable stay. Room lovely. Excellent breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Clean room. Environmentally friendly hotel. Spa bath was wonderful. Location was convenient and close to many bars and restaurants. Within walking distance to the shopping district.

The hotel is in a good location. Had some minor things like, had requested for 2x king beds and when we arrived there was 1 king and 2 singles which they did fix. We also rang 2 times to request a anti slip mat for the bath/shower which never arrived.. and one of the elevators were broken so the one elevator left was EXTREMELY slow. Overall was satisfied.

Wrong charge not reimbursed

I asked at check in to stay not 7 but 6 nights. Receptionist told me she didn’t know how to modify the booking, charged full amount and told me it will be reimbursed at checkout. During checkout I was told it was not possible to reimburse through my credit card and a bank transfer would be done. I gave sent my bank detailes and asked twice for confirmation that the reimbursement would be done but never got an answer to my email… very poorly run.

Instead, you requested to shorten a prepaid stay, to which the reception team has agreed to facilitate a transfer after checkout for the last night's charge, for which I am glad the team can assist. As we lease out short-stay apartments, we operate under a legislated trust accounting system, and thus, we are not allowed to reimburse your card; we must do so through a bank transfer. We have received your details, and while processing, given it is an international transfer, our accounts may require more clarity. If not, the process will occur; however, given the needed approvals and the international transfer, it may take some days. We will continue to follow your refund till the end. Aside from the time taken and the details required for the international refund for a shortened stay, I trust you enjoyed your time at Mantra Southbank, especially since our location is close to Melbourne's many sports, arts, parks, and environment. Wheelchair Accessible apartment is amazing at Southbank

Travelling interstate with a disability can be daunting enough, let alone accomodation meeting all my needs. I am a wheelchair user. The customer service of the team at Southbank (specifically Liam) was impeccable and faultless. Originally, I had booked accomodation at Mantra on Jollimont. My mum had previously contacted Mantra to ensure that the King room I had booked for me and my friend would be accessible. She was ensured the shower was a drive in shower with no hob, and that the door frames were suitable for my wheelchair to access. However, when I arrived this was not the case. I was barely able to drive my chair into the room, and the shower and toilet were also inaccessible. Having travelled for the Taylor Swift concert, this accomodation could have been a disaster. However, Mantra on Southbank were able to assist me with provision of a wheelchair accessible apartment for no extra cost. I am truely grateful for this opportunity as I appreciate the difficulty of accomodation surrounding that weekend. Once I had transferred to Mantra on Southbank, Liam was more than accommodating, ensuring that we were comfortable and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. He even ensured that I was provided with an adequate shower chair for my stay. I would highly recommend my apartment to any other wheelchair users. I truely appreciate that this apartment had widened doors, a ramp to access the bathroom, a roll in shower, as well as a roll out sofa bed for my friend(upon request).

Mantra, where’s my money you’ve promised to refund?

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. Upon check-in, I was overcharged, and despite the staff admitting their mistake, I have yet to receive a refund over two weeks later. The lack of communication, taking days to reply to emails with no clear answers, and overall poor customer service have left me absolutely frustrated. Avoid this place if you value your time and money. Mantra, where is my money?
