We had five wonderful days at mantra mooloolaba. Everything from the room (incredibly large with Ensuites, spa, full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, large balcony, huge windows, king bed), to the cleaning staff who could not have been more helpful and kind. Thought we had an issue locking our balcony door…Murray the maintenance man kindly informed us there was nothing wrong, left us as lovely note with a hammer shaped biscuit…we just hadn’t closed it correctly. This was an example of all staff we encountered. The receptionists were exceptional as well…Jasmine, Amanda, and others who I am so sorry I can’t remember their names…were just lovely and could not have been more helpful. Car parking was elite as well. Thanx to all at the mantra for an awesome time.

Great location and comfortable stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Mantra Mooloolaba Beach and would happily recommend it, particularly for the location. The property is perfectly positioned with a short walk to the beach, retail stores, ice cream parlours, and a great selection of restaurants. A real bonus is the secured gate at the rear of the property that provides direct access to Woolworths and BWS behind the building — perfect for quickly grabbing supplies. You do need your room key to access this gate, which adds to the sense of security. While the room itself is in serious need of an upgrade, it was clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have lovely views of both the mountains and the beach, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The balcony was a good size and a great spot to relax. The bed was comfortable, although there wasn’t a lot of space to store luggage out of the way. The property has both an indoor and outdoor pool, both of a good size. As expected in a family-friendly resort, when kids are in the pool it can be hard to avoid noise and splashing. This wasn’t an issue during our stay, but if you’re sensitive to noise you may want to be mindful of peak pool times. There is also a lovely outdoor area near the pool with BBQ facilities and cabana-style seating, making it a great place to enjoy dinner outdoors with ocean breezes and views. Check-in was easy thanks to a large driveway leading to reception, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Underground parking is available with a maximum height of 2 metres; some of the parking spaces are a little tight, but they were still accessible. Overall, a comfortable stay in a fantastic location — perfect if location matters most and you’re happy with a room that’s clean and functional, even if a little dated.

Great location and views, but a little tired

Manta Mooloolaba had a great view from the room and is well located for an easy, relaxed stay. The apartment itself is a bit tired in places but still functional and had what we needed. The pool was perfectly fine for a casual, relaxed swim, though nothing particularly special. Staff were polite but not especially engaging or helpful during our stay. One of the highlights is the convenience factor; a supermarket right next door, easy parking, and close proximity to restaurants, cafés, and shops, which made getting around very easy. Overall, a good option if location and views are your priority and you’re happy with more basic accommodation.

These apartments are in an excellent location

We were very pleased that we chose The Mantra. We had asked for an accessible apartment, and were very glad that we could have one. The apartment was a bit dated, but it was very clean and comfortable. Because it hadn't yet been modernised, in order to use the hotplates I had to get them out from under the bench, and there was no dishwasher. Since my husband is recovering from a stroke, that meant extra work for me. And the view wasn't spectacular. However, the hot water was plentiful and copious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The fact that there was an indoor as well as an outdoor pool was great for helping my husband regain confidence in the water. Because we didn't have a car, the fact that there was an excellent supermarket next door was simply wonderful, I couldn't have managed without that. I would certainly go to The Mantra again!

A restful stay in an excellent hotel

We arrived at the Mantra in Mooloolaba and after our initial checkin we were provided access to the free parking under the hotel for our three night stay. We then took the lift to our room 906 overlooking the beach. We must thank Kaitlin who was at reception when we returned downstairs. Kaitlin was so friendly approachable and kindly assisted us, by providing information on local cafes and activities that proved so helpful during our stay. She also happily provided support on the hotel facilities we had not been aware of when checking in earlier. Kaitlin is a great to the Mantra. We felt very welcome by the other staff we encountered during our stay. Our room was an upgrade from our initial reservation And the generous welcome gift as ACCOR members was very kind and unexpected. The hotel management clearly value providing an enriching and welcoming service to guests. The bedroom with its comfortable bed and generous storage for bags and clothing was appreciate. The bathroom with its spa and best of all washing machine made our stay so easy and comfortable. The excellent kitchen area with small induction stove, crockery, cutlery and cooking implements with a glorious view over the beach and ocean meant we were able to eat in comfort and style during our stay. Having access to the Coles supermarket just next door helped also. We enjoyed the pool area during our stay and noted the BBQ and outdoor tables and chairs available for guests use during their stay. All theses facilities from rooms with kitchens to outdoor BBQ’s more than made up for the hotel not having a restaurant. There are more than enough cafes and restaurants just outside the hotel! We loved our stay at the Mantra and would not hesitate to return. Thank you to the management and those kind members of the team who smiled and made us welcome.
