Location great but accommodation was not

Good: the location and reception staff. Shower pressure. Bad: One br apartment 201 was well below par for above par rate. Sofa smelly, grubby and uncomfortable. Decorative pillows on the bed so smelly we had to put in a seperate room as the smell had also gone through the apartment and sleeping pillows. Humidity can only be blamed for so much. Bathroom floor had long black hairs over floor and shower, corners and edges dirty and smeared. Freezer needs defrosting and the ice was only partially frozen. Wifi wasn’t the best, but ok. Very bad: the noise. Advertised as soundproof rooms but the walls are paper thin. Could hear the conversations of other units and loud occupants above us. We understand renovations 9-3 weekdays but we were woken up by management and tradies loudly talking in the shared area at 6.30am. So much for a sleep in on holiday. No one asked us how our stay was when we left which was unusual. Overall an old tired and dirty room which should not be booked until renovated. I cannot believe this is an Accor/All property. We are members and booked for our 40th wedding anniversary and was very disappointed.

Holiday in a Noise and Dust riddled Building Site.Site

Several apartments being renovated next to us. Unbearable. Keep away. Management useless in dealing with the issues of noise and dust that I raised with them. No warning given when making booking or prior to arriving. Reception mentioned some building noise well away from us. Two apartments undergoing major works both sides of our apartment. Why lie to us?

NEEDS A DEEP CLEAN.

GOT OFF TO A POOR START. IRONING BOARD NO COVER.CLOTHES DRYER DID NOT WORK. IT WAS ACTUALLY A FIRE HAZARD WHEN TURNED ON . REPORTED IT ON DAY 1 OF A 6 DAY STAY AND NOTHING HAPPENED. CLEANLINESS WAS VERY POOR WITH GROUND IN DIRT ON FLOORS AND ARCHITRAYS . NEEDED A DEEP STEAM CLEAN. STAFF WERE OK . POOL IS VERY GOOD , CARPARK UNDERNEATH WORKS WELL AND THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT.

Great location but MantraAccor really don’t give a toss about the customer experience.

We have been to Noosa a few times before and know the area. Paraphrasing the immortal words of Australian Prime Minster Paul Keating, “if your not on Hastings Street, your only camping”, so the choice to stay at the Mantra made perfect sense. Great location in one of the best locations in Australia. Let’s start with the good. 24 hour reception, free parking, fantastic resort style pool area, quick access onto Hastings Street, wonderful Gelateria shop over the road, good access to the nation park for mornings walks, I could go on and on. The apartment is ok with a kind of functional kitchen (no oven and the fridge opens the wrong way) and lovely out door seating area over looking the pool. The main bedroom has a louvred wall system onto the main living space. If it wasn’t for the second bedroom, it would be a bedsit! Also included are a washing machine and dryer (both new and in good working order). The second bedroom has two single beds and perfect for kids. The bathrooms are dated and the water pressure in the second shower is more of a slow drip that actual water pressure. Don’t try and wash your hair! The whole place is a little tired but hey, we’re here for the outdoors and the warm weather. Let’s move onto the bad, and wholly crap it’s bad. If I had been notified when booking the hotel, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED. The units are being randomly renovated. This is good, they need it. The down side is they are running demolition hammers to the point you can feel the stone in the kitchen bench vibrating and floor under foot. I had a chat to reception to which I got a meaningless apology and told the builders stop at 3 PM each day. That was not my experience. Trying to get an 8 month old to sleep in a building site is no easy task! What the hotel should have done was contact me upon making the booking and let me know that the noice levels would be akin to a freight train from 7 AM to 3 PM each day and offer a refund, not slide a sheet of paper in to the room information pack when checking in to say their may be some noise! The hotel should have also CLOSED THE ENTIRE BLOCK FOR THE DURATION OF THE RENOVATION but when your customers are nothing more than an inconvenience, why bother. I have found the customer service Jetstar of the hotel world and its ugly. For 6 days and many thousands of dollars I expected better and if this is Sébastien Bazin‘s “vision of responsible hospitality” then he needs to take a long hard look at his business.

Great family friendly hotel in an unbeatable location

We stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom apartment in the West Quarter (room 240) and the room was lovely, clean, new, spacious and very comfortable. The balcony overlooks the pool but we got used to the noise, and to be fair, the hotel is very family friendly so it would be unrealistic to expect silence. The view from the balcony is great as the grounds, pool and greenery are all very well kept - it looks beautiful at night. We stayed as a family with our 3 year old and he absolutely loved the pool and spa. The kitchen was well equipped which made it easy with our toddler if we wanted to stay in and cook a meal and the location of the hotel is so good with the beach just across the road and loads of restaurants and shops at your door step on Hastings. We loved our stay at the Mantra French Quarter and would absolutely stay here again.
