I stayed at the Mantra as it was part of the Accor group. It is not much better than a motel on a highway. The door lock was in bad condition, the room was bare minimum, towels not white .. the motel just felt so dirty. How can this be part of the Accor group? Worst, just as I got into bed at 11pm, this high pitched alarm came on twice. I have stayed at Meriton Suites before, which is newer and better. Mantra looks like they just took over an old motel and have not renovated it. I also paid almost $300 a night including parking!

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Mantra at Chatswood Interchange Area. My family of three, including two adults and a five-year-old child, booked a five-night stay. On the first night, we were given a room designed for disabled individuals. However, the height of the bathroom facilities made it unsuitable for our daughter to use. We requested a room change, but the evening staff informed us that there were no available rooms and suggested a change for the following day. By the afternoon of the second day, we were moved to another room, but the air conditioning system was faulty, resulting in an uncomfortably hot room with a temperature display showing 29 degrees Celsius. We had difficulty sleeping on the second and third nights due to the heat. On the fourth day, we lodged a complaint with the front desk, but were informed that it was Sunday and no external staff were available for repairs. As a solution, we requested two fans, but they were both extremely dusty and dirty. We endured the heat on the fourth night, and on the fifth day, we confirmed with the front desk that the room would be repaired. The staff assured us that everything would be in order. However, when we returned to the room in the evening, it was still unbearably hot. We complained again, and after inspecting the situation, the staff offered to change our room and provide a refund. Unfortunately, as we were leaving Sydney the next morning, we couldn't change rooms. We agreed to the refund arrangement, and the assistant manager assured us via email that the refund process would be completed within ten working days. However, more than ten working days have passed, and the refund has not been processed. I am extremely disappointed with Mantra Chatswood and their handling of this situation.

Great Location, Great Staff, Needs Updating

I spent a whole week here. What can we say about the Mantra. It isn’t the cleanest, see below. But it is comfortable. It isn’t the most modern, in fact it needs a complete upgrade, everywhere. But by the end of the week I was feeling more comfortable. Would I recommend it. That depends on what you are looking for. No hotel in Chatswood is perfect but if you are comfortable putting up with some of the points below, then give it a go. Most likely will stay here again. Otherwise these are my other thoughts Staff – outstanding could not fault them. There were issues on the first night and they sorted things out very quickly and with no dramas. Was so impressed 5/5 Room – it was spacious, if not overly clean. But without doubt the best sofa I have had available to me in any of the Chatswood hotels. Lighting was also good, if you like stand up lights. Shower – this was not up to standard. It wasn’t overly clean including the ceiling, which was sorted professionally by the team. The bath, and I’m not a fan of showers over baths. Would have preferred just a walk in shower. Is in need of a deep clean. Towels felt cheap and not clean 2/5 Kitchen – really in need of modernising. I cooked most nights, and did like the electric hob which just made things feel safer. But the oven I didn’t want to venture there 2/5 Bed – it wasn’t the best but again it wasn’t uncomfortable. Blackout curtains that work though was greatly appreciated (reflected in the score). And other than one night was reasonably quiet for a city hotel. But it wasn’t overly clean, and the safe (also safes according to the staff) didn’t work. Could be a major draw back for some. 4/5 Cleanliness –2/5 Location – outstanding, good for train station and not too bad for the restaurants and Westfields 4.5/5 Facilities – the pool and spa looked good. The gym great cardio equipment but weights just an old multi-gym. The sauna, the weirdest sauna I have ever been in, but it was appreciated 3/5 TV – massive TV but let down completely by only offering free to air 1/5

Needed to stay at Chatswood Interchange at short notice, Mantra is usually a good option but this is a poor Mantra. Located opposite the interchange, large but dated room, comfy bed, kitchenette. Poor lighting, bad drainage in bathroom means 5cm of water across the floor when you shower, room overlooks a courtyard littered with liquor bottles, pay extra for wi fi - does anyone else still do this? $395 per night - poor refelction on Mantra /Accor.

Een heel mooi hotel vlakbij het trein en bus station. ( 3 minuten lopen) Keurige kamer en elke dag weer goed schoon. Lekker ontbijt in een gezellig restaurant. Bediening is heel vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.
