Breakfree Alexandra Beach

Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Clean facilities (except for a few ants in the kitchen). Building works were noisy and disruptive during the day and continued until 5pm (not 4pm as displayed in foyer). Had we known prior to booking about the building works we would not have considered this place. Also, additional building works in a nearby unit was also disruptive until 7pm (I felt particularly sorry for their adjoining unit). Smoking on neighbouring balconies filtered through our unit. Linen for extra guest was forgotten and we had to remind staff after hours but it promptly turned up. Bed was particularly hard.

Note my noise issue was not with the major building works going on. Bathrooms feel dirty and very dated with mould in places, plaster missing from window edges and bathroom shower mixers being held together with makeshift solutions. Ensuite shower has a painted concrete floor and old shower curtain that doesn't hep in stopping water going all over the floor. On top of that the room above us was having a new kitchen and bathroom fitted and had we had hammering and grinding noise all Friday morning so had to leave to get away from the noise, we booked to enjoy and relax our time at the hotel with the kids ,not be forced out by building noise. I did report the noise to staff at reception and was told its a private unit and work is only allowed between 8-4:30pm. Well I understand renovations may be needed but then don't book out rooms to the side or below that have paid to come and relax.

The facilities and staff were great. The room we checked into really needs upgrading. A picture fell on my head in the middle of the night. All the railings in the bathroom are rusty and there are loads of patches in the bathroom walls where it was repaired and never painted. Louver doors to master bedroom has heaps of broken slats. Kids had a ball in all the facilities. I would stay again but would ask for a different room as I think they are individually owned.

Nice holidays at Alexandra pension-Parga-gr.Small family business. Great hospitality, clean and the owners very friendly. We felt like our home. We recommend without doubt and hope to see them again next year. Thank you....

Halfway through roof replacement which was definitely not made clear on booking. Loads of noise and lack of space due to this. Also one pool closed as a result of ongoing building . I understand maintenance is required but I think it should have been made very clear beforehand.
