I travel to the Sunshine Coast every 5 to 6 weeks and have just had my 15 th stay at Breakfree Alexandra headland. I feel like I’m home and I am always welcomed with hugs and happy faces. The team are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thankyou. I’m back again in January.

Our recent stay at BreakFree Alexandra Headland had its ups and downs. On the positive side, check-in was quick and seamless, and the parking facilities were convenient. The hotel’s amenities were excellent, particularly the pools, which catered to all ages and were a big hit with the kids. The location was fantastic, with plenty of great dining options nearby, making it easy to enjoy meals without going far. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. The room we were allocated was outdated and poorly maintained, leaving us feeling underwhelmed. A bigger issue was the neighbours, who were heavy smokers. This was especially problematic as we were travelling with asthmatic children. Despite raising this concern with staff, nothing was done to address the situation. Adding to the frustration were multiple false fire alarms caused by faults in the system. While this was disruptive, the kids did get a kick out of seeing the firefighters up close when they came to check our room, so at least there was a silver lining. Overall, while the location and facilities are great, the poor maintenance and lack of response to issues dampened our experience. It’s a shame because this property has potential, but improvements are needed to meet expectations.

From efficient check-in (with an up-grade bonus) to our check-out it was an enjoyable stay. Facilities are well maintained and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The pool area caters for all swimmers and non swimmers. Love the temperatures of the different pools. Location is great. Pleasant drive to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Great spot! Location is perfect, good food options available, playground for kids and pool is enjoyable. Only issue for us, the rooms aren’t very roomy, with a family it’s hard to fit in at times. More space and an update would be recommended.

Loved the huge swimming pool and spas - they went forever - well appointed apartments - lift to all floors was great - undercover parking in secure car park - key card access - thoroughly recommend and the kids loved it - we had a family reunion and was hard to get the kids out of the pool lol
