This hotel is quite dated and could use a refresh or at least a fresh coat of paint. The bathroom is very odd, not sure how some people with less flexibility would manage stepping into and out of the spa to have a shower, at least there is a handrail to stop you careening across the floor to your doom as you climb out. My room was nice, clean yes, but had a slightly odd smell. Initially given an accessible room, I politely asked for a room change. This challenged reception, who insisted I had the room I booked. Will remember to ensure I note I don’t want or need an accessible room should I ever be back here. Bed was comfy, air con noisy - sleep challenging. Result. Cranky person for my day of business,

As previously explained, there were no other available rooms in the category booked, which is why we were unable to move you to another room of the same type. Since you advised that you were uncomfortable in the accessible room, we were able to move you to the next room category, which includes a spa bath, and we’re pleased you were happy to proceed after viewing the room. On a positive note, we’re glad you found the room clean and the bed comfortable. However, we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations overall and that your experience left you feeling less than well-rested for your business day. I always stay with your property so really love that it’s close shops and restaurants. My washing machine hose had a hole in it so flooded the whole room but your maintenance man fixed it up pretty quick. I would like to give some constructive feedback. I had the disabled room but the tiles were still slippery, maybe invest in a non slip mat for the floor of the shower.

Looks can be so deceiving !!!

Looks can be so deceiving, so do not rely on the pictures as depicted on their website ! First impressions, quick easy check in, parking, the great view from the level 14 apartment, and then the disappointment quickly followed. Very poor housekeeping, followed by the very dated and run down appearance of the apartment. Not a vacuum cleaner or mop in site to allow an interim spruce by us up during our week's stay. Here you are certainly paying for the beach front position and views , not the standard that one would expect at $914.00 a night. I understand it was peak season but very disappointing, would not recommend nor would I stay here ever again. At reception I did let them know that they should notify the owner that he should update the apartment if he expects them to let his unit at those rates. They really should not let this apartment until the it has been bought up to a reasonable standard.

Very friendly and efficient staff. A lovely welcome on checking in. We chose a renovated room with sea views. Fabulous views out to sea, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Although it was a renovated room it still needed new carpet and did look pretty tired. Very convenient location next to Coles supermarket and some green restaurants. There was a lot of road noise when you he’d the balcony doors open. Would’ve been nice to have had a Nespresso coffee machine but otherwise had everything you needed.

Do not stay here!! Dirty, tired and over priced!!

Definitely do not recommend this accommodation!! We will never stay at another Mantra after this one!! We paid $900 per night for a family of 5. When making the booking I thought this was outrageously expensive but we were so excited to stay somewhere that must be totally amazing to think they are worthy of that price tag. We couldn’t have been more wrong!! On arrival there was the previous persons stool still in the toilet!! The rooms are old and run down and not at all clean. For $900 per night they can’t even give you a clean towel or service anything, not even a free bottle of water!! There are 4 lifts which kept breaking down and it wasn’t uncommon to have to wait 10mins or more for the lift, many of the guests were getting so frustrated with this. The indoor pool was so filthy the kids refused to get in it and they will usually swim anywhere!! The outdoor pool is small and very tired, nothing like the pictures make it look. The only positive was the location, so it is easy to get away from the sad accomodation for the day!! And although it was a lovely location, it certainly doesn’t warrant a $900 cost for a family of 5. We are really disappointed and cannot believe they charge so much for what they offer, this really needs to be reviewed!! There were some beautiful places around us, save your money and look elsewhere!!
