Food is amazing and the whole stay has been amazing!! Yasin in the Asian restaurant was so brilliant! 10/10 his recommendation were spot on! Overall the service has been fantastic, couples and families would have the best time here. It’s the best!

Unless you have children under the age of 5 then don’t go. The hotel is set up entirely for families with very small children and hence, if you are travelling as an adult family you will be fish out of water. Even the adult only ‘restful area’ is constantly affected by the screams of toddlers (not helped by the fact that is was weirdly placed on the walkway to the beach so what did you expect!). Helpful rules such as no children being allowed at the swim up bar were ignored despite the presence of management. All very strange really because other rules were imposed with vigour (more of that later). Anyway, onto the all-inclusive, all-exclusive claim. What they don’t tell you until you arrive is that you are not allowed to book any of the a la carte restaurants on your first night. In fact, you are only allowed to make four a la carte bookings throughout the duration of your stay. As we had booked seven nights, that meant that we had to use the buffet on three occasions. Not great, especially when you have children standing at the hot plates eating chips, chicken nuggets and on one occasion we actually saw one little fella using his hands to eat directly from the Nutella bowl. If you are lucky enough to secure a table at one of the exclusive restaurants, please ensure that you book an early table. We made the mistake of booking a table at the Italian for 8:30. At 9:30, whilst we were still eating our mains we were interrupted, handed the menus and told to choose our desserts immediately as the kitchen was about to close. Which it actually did. We left at 10pm and there wasn’t a sole left in the room, either customers or staff. This theme continued at the People’s restaurant which is due to be open from midday until 4pm. We ate there yesterday when last orders were called at 3:25pm. Oh and by the way, no draft beers are available anywhere in the hotel. Your only choice during the day is small cans of Peroni, in the evening they tend to switch to bottles. And, the all-inclusive, all-exclusive gym currently comprises of two treadmills, a bike, a cross trainer and few hand held weights. And no air conditioning. Something wasn’t quite right about the way guests are treated. It didn’t feel friendly at all. Managers were often seen parading around the hotel but they would never engage with guests. I think that they are afraid to. I just got the impression that the staff aren't treated too well. I suspect that they are managed by fear in a top down authoritarian manner. I’m not going to go into too much detail for obvious reasons but, the first member of staff I spoke to volunteered the fact that staff are not treated at all well at the hotel. A couple of bizarre facts to finish with. Firstly, everything at the beach bar (drinks, cocktails, fruit, Açai bowls) is free apart from coconuts. Weird. Also, CCTV. It’s everywhere and they track your movements. We made the mistake of inviting a couple of family friends to our room on Saturday evening to enjoy a bottle of bubbly on our balcony for their birthday. I received a call from reception asking them to leave. I asked the receptionist how she knew they were with us and she confirmed that the office had tracked our movements via CCTV. In summary, I’d suggest that you avoid this place. It’s not 5 star. Very far from it. If you are truly looking for an all-inclusive, all-exclusive holiday in the UAE then I’d thoroughly recommend that you try the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach. We stayed there last November and had a fabulous time. Chalk and cheese, chalk and cheese…

Poor Handling of Room situation (Rixos Error)

Hotel cancelled reservation, took no ownership of the situation, required escalating and agent to tell them what needed to be done. Room eventually reinstated, no compensation issued for the inconvenience and to be made as if we don’t belong.

Review is not about rooms, because i haven’t been there, it’s about the restaurant turquoise, food was delicious and staffs were great. I went for Ifthar buffet and the quality of each items were excellent and I give the 10/10. Momen (coffee man) was awesome.

Best hotel we've stayed in so far in the UAE!

This really was the most enjoyable and luxurious holiday destination resort that we've ever been to, and there is nothing we can fault about this hotel! We stayed for 9 nights over the school half term break in February, and although this was one of their busiest times, the hotel atmosphere felt incredibly relaxed throughout, and plenty of space and even plenty of sunbeds available too, without having to be out at the crack of dawn. We've stayed many times in 5 star hotels across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and RAK, we've also previously stayed at Rixos the Palm, but this one at Saadiyat Island really was premium in terms of the accommodation, food and alcohol offering. From the moment you step into the lobby, this hotel is opulent beyond belief, and smells so good too! Having arrived at 8am, we were welcomed to use all of the facilities straight away, and although check-in wasn't until 15:00, our room was made ready earlier and they WhatsApp you as soon as it is to let you know. The all inclusive offering here really is ultra, with all the most premium brands of alcohol served and their own cocktail mixologist who is ready to greet you at lunch and dinner. The bar staff and rollerskating waiters around the pool are just amazing, and won't let you carry your own drinks even if you try to save them a job, they are amazing! We were so impressed by the food too, both in the buffet and the a-la-carte restaurants, so much choice, and so beautifully presented! Special mentions must go to 'Remy' who served us most days at the People's Lunch Bar Restaurant near to the pool, this was such a lovely setting overlooking the beach, and the staff were so attentive. 'Miggy' was our regular breakfast waiter and looked after us so well, always going the extra mile to welcome our little boy to the table too. Our housekeeper 'Sherla' did such a super job making our room look so clean and comfortable during our stay, most days we'd return to find wonderful towel-animal creations, and on the last day, he really knew how to please a 5yr old by leaving him a hand crafted Roblox figure head, again made out of towels, but it was absolutely brilliant! The lobby staff were always so friendly and happy to help, and there is the most fantastic (& very posh looking) coffee lounge where the service is just sublime, with the best coffee and teas served and all included within the UAI package. We only booked the entry level Garden Room for our stay, but it was the perfect size for a family of three with a great pull-out sofa bed for our child, immaculately presented, exquisitely decorated, and had a lovely view over the fountains. Lastly, I must mention how pleased we were to see how well the cats were looked after by Rixos too. Not only are they well fed, they have little house stations with shade from the sun dotted around, and a very amusing sign too that says "the cats are well fed, don't fall for their lies" :) We loved this trip so much, that we couldn't wait long to book again, so are going back in June and can't wait! Thank you to all at Rixos Saadiyat Island who made our stay so perfect!
