Absolute 5 star holiday, we have had a great time. From rooms to Food and drinks. It’s amazing. The beach is one of the best I have been to. Must shout out… Gabriel the beach waiter, should be promoted to manager, he’s such a good employee , I would employ him tomorrow. Remembers everything and is so attentive to everyone, no matter what language they speak, he does his upmost to sort everything. First class

The place was great, we have travelled a lot and we really could not find anything to complain about. My family particularly loved the towel art. Wow incredible. Staff all very kind. Loved also hand roller skating drinks servers, very cool!

Memorably Average with Wonderful Staff

The resort is closer to the airport, Yas resort attractions and the Louvre than downtown but in every direction you can see cranes and dusty lorries. The lobby is beautiful, the hotel grounds attractive and the staff welcoming, helpful and kind but the rigidity of the “rules” make for a stressful visit. Having to queue up to book dinners for the entire holiday on the first morning to ensure we were rotated through the dining options was frustrating plus the obligatory first night buffet in the soulless cavern of the dining hall did little to endear good humour. The early morning rush to save sun beds that were left empty until after lunch didn’t improve our mood however we were saved by the adult only haven of the Anjana Spa. A daily visit to the beautiful sheltered quiet retreat with great treatments, lovely facilities and yet more charming staff saved the holiday. The Turkish restaurant was the culinary highlight, the Mermaid restaurant was a disaster in the rain - too many diners and not enough tables inside. The manager and some staff were seen leaving before the diners had finished their meals where substitutions for the set menu were well below expectations. Aja and the teppanyaki show were delicious. The bizarre setting and lack of atmosphere in the Italian restaurant reminded me of Soviet Style tea rooms whilst the entrance looked more like the entrance to a Bavarian beer cellar than a trattoria. Overall, a relaxing vacation but not an experience I’ll be queuing up to repeat.

A true 5* paradise at the Rixos Sadiyaat

From beginning to end our experience as a family of 4, (kids ages 6 and 3) was faultless! Having spent the previous week on Yas island doing all the theme parks, our stay at The Rixos Sadiyaat island was purely for resting and recharging. We were completely spoilt, this 5* ultra inclusive was head and shoulders above anywhere other hotel of this type that we have been (and we are fussy and well travelled). Extensive buffet selection using quality ingredients, the best sushi I have ever had (big statement!) good number of al a carte restaurants, we only tried Aja as we didn’t want to miss out on the buffet! Cocktails vary from bar to bar but are superb, and premium alcohol used and a great selection. Table service wherever you are, whether by the pool, beach, waterpark/wavepool, and all on roller skates, very impressive! Also towels being made up for you on sunbeds, everyone was just so helpful. We had a one bedroom suite which was very spacious, effectively two rooms joined together. The grounds are stunning, such beauty, much more than I expected from an island still being developed. Ice lolly & ice cream! Such a great selection and lollies are not always included in all inclusive, my 3yr old was over the moon, def one of our highlights haha! Couple of things I would suggest making the Rixos even better; the kids and adult pools are very separate, no alcohol is served at the kids section which makes it really difficult for wanting to sit by that pool which is a shame because the facilities up there are excellent! I think a lot more families would be on that side if we could order cocktails and still enjoy our holiday. Same for the evening entertainment, the main entertainment and children’s are at two different places which means us parents miss out on the main hotels entertainment. The entertainment for kids was great but again no alcohol served, makes it a long night not to be able to get a drink and nibbles. Hopefully this will be considered and the hotel would be absolutely faultless!
