Not your typical Sebel stay

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I was emailed asking for a few details including hotel check in time which I gave them and my check in was only an hour before their standard check in time and I am a silver almost gold Accor member. Early check in was denied. So I’m not really sure why they bother to email you asking for your arrival time. I understand that sometimes beds aren’t ready so it would be good to not be bothered by pointless emails and phone calls! The room size was ok for a couple! Hotel was noisy! Aircon was super noisy and kept me up at night! It wasn’t a king bed, it was two singles pushed together. TV was ok! Amenities were also acceptably good! When you turn the water on there’s a very loud plumbing noise as well! Customer service was OK! Pillows were far too soft and need an upgrade. Hotel was clean overall. The linen changing time causes a lot of noise to the rooms! Overall I won’t be going back! The one in East Perth is better!

It was fine, but not much more than that. Cons: The kitchen has enough equipment for basic cooking but lacks a dishwasher (who wants to go on holiday and do dishes?). The mismatched wine glasses and no decent coffee cups (only small espresso cups) were small oversights. We were on level 2 and the view of the street was pretty ordinary. When we checked in, there was a wet patch in the carpet beside the bed (maybe someone before us spilled something) and one beside power point didn't work. There was also a large stain on the lounge. There is one nearby convenience store which you'd have to be pretty desperate to use, considering the prices. Pros: The $19 per night parking is secure and undercover. Restaurants are in a 10-15 minute walking distance. Telstra reception is excellent as you can literally look out the window and see the tower. Air conditioner worked well. Washer and dryer is handy. Bed is comfortable and you're provided with plenty of pillows. Very close to RAC if you're staying for an event (which we were).

Love, love, love a Sebel hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and comfortable. TV stopped picking up channels at one point and the lovely receptionist came up to sort it in about 5 minutes. Ideal location for walking to restaurants and shops. Room had everything needed including a washing machine. Swimming pool area was gorgeous. We will be back!

Perfectly located near the cbd of Perth and with a CAT station walking distance. I had a room/apartment on the 3rd floor facing the street which I actually really enjoyed. No noise from outside (I’m also a deep sleeper so that maybe helped). Kitchen is fully equipped with what you need, ac is working great! The washer and dryer are really nice and the amenities are stocked when arriving. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. I only used the pool which I found very comfortable, just a bit crowded for me but that’s a personal thing.

Great location, easy to get into the CBD with free bus system. However the noise coming from the BBQ and pool area was a constant problem, all sorts of large groups (adults and children) seem to use these facilities, and not just guests or residents...and no interest from management in addressing the unreasonable noise pollution. Noisiest place I have ever stayed at in Australia.
