We were welcomed by a warm friendly person on check in. (Wish I could remember their name as they were fantastic.) They were expecting us and even remembered our names. As Accor members we were upgraded to a king bedroom 654. Great city views and very comfortable. The mattress was so good it did not move when the other rolled or got out of bed. The shower head was large and the pressure good. Everything was in great condition and the bed was awesome. We used the basement car park which was great for access to the lift. Although I didn't use the pool it looked great and there is an outside area adjacent so in good weather you can sit outside and enjoy the ambiance,

Yet another spectacular stay this wonderful hotel is becoming my home away from home. From fantastic breakfasts to a wonderful dinner selection and barista coffee all day the Mercure has you covered for you dining desires. Rooms, hallways, common space, recreation and outdoor areas all immaculate!!! Iv said before and I’ll say it again this hotel has been designed with a no expense spared philosophy and high end materials that make you feel like royalty. I have to really make note of the incredible beds and pillows. Many people always seem to comment on these things but after dozens and dozens of different hotel stays over recent years the Mercure ranks for me in the top three, quite the achievement and impresses me no end as I know they have not economised on the beds, linen and pillows and au contraire, they are for certain high end. Anyhow I could go on and on about how much I love this place but wanted to thank some of the staff who added to our guest experience including: FO: Vivian, Sophiya F&B: Nathan, Claire, Chanel Chefs: Daryl, Nicholas, Yenny HK: Amelia, Sue Misc: David, Thisru, Naki And you have to try the waffles for breakfast! Thank you To GM Cameron for the hospitality from the team and see you all soon.

Stayed in a suite and found the bed very comfortable, Shower and bath were excellent. Dining was tasty too - tried fish, steak, burgers and parma. Breakfast had poached eggs cooked exactly how we like it. I had special omelet too. Great chef was very obliging. This hotel is walking distance to Westfield Doncaster. Everything at your fingertips. Public transport is only across the road too. Parking is paid but plenty of spaces available.

TERRIBLE breakfast at Mercure Doncaster

Took advantage of the breakfast deal at Mercure Doncaster for locals. It was meant to be $25 per person and got charged $35 upon arrival. This had to be the WORST buffet breakfast we have ever had and we travel frequently. There was one cook catering for the whole restaurant. The poor guy was run off his feet. He couldn’t keep up with the demand and yet he just soldiered on. Hats off to him. He was doing a good job. As for the other staff, they could see he was under pressure and yet chose to chat at the front bar rather than step in and help. There was no food. Things were running low or empty. Bread was stale. Had to go and ask for scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes to be replenished. Everything was empty. Waited ages for an omelette and it wasn’t even what we asked for. No cheeses. Empty juice jugs. Terrible customer service. No professionalism at all. All the staff need customer training to say the least. Expect better Accor. Very, very disappointing!
