Erick was very polite at the Grand Mercure and he makes the best drinks!!! He was very knowledgeable of the services that were available at the hotel. He presented himeself in a very professional manner. He worked in the bar area. He gave me adequate time to order and was very patient with my lack of the Portuguese language

The breakfast was delicious ! Special mention for the Tapioca lady that prepares the best tapioca I had in Brasil, thanks for that !! The gym was very complete and the view over the Copacana bay is Insane, Sebastian the gym coach is very friendly and professional ! The swimming pool on the rooftop was breathtaking !

Good room service (Joelma +++). Good breakfast with plenty of space and good choices . Could do better on cappuccinos. Sauna is working. . Slow checkin , with long queues at times. Good location. Internet slow. Best view of Copacabana is from Gym. Windows could use a cleaning.

Overall, my experience was below expectations. My Accor ALL Platinum benefits were not proactively provided. I had to ask for them and was actually blamed for having the do not disturb sign on my door as they apparently tried to deliver my welcome amenity. I was never told until I asked during my second day. I had an issue with room noise from the room above mine at around 23.00 on both nights of my stay. When I called the front desk, no one answered. The hotel needs to fix the peeling in the windows and breakfast food quality could be improved in terms of seasoning and quality. Despite my Accor ALL status, I still got charged for a bottle of water. Unlike the other hotel programs, no such thing as complimentary water or coffee/tea. On a more positive note, the location is great being so close to Copacabana beach. Check in staff was efficient and very attentive. The room and bed were cozy but the sound insulation was not the best.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you’re not informed about amenities and when communication falls short. As a Platinum member, we take great care in providing all the benefits at our disposal. We respect the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door to avoid causing any inconvenience. I hope that, despite the delay, the offered amenities were of value to you and that the room upgrade was satisfactory, even if the "noisy neighbor" caused some discomfort. I appreciate your feedback about the breakfast quality. We are always looking for ways to improve. It’s good to know you enjoyed our location and found the check-in staff attentive and efficient. Your comments will be addressed with the team to ensure a better experience in the future. We hope you might consider giving us another chance on your next visit. Thank you again for your insights.

Amazing breakfast and great service, just in front of Copacabana beach. The place is super clean and beautiful. If you pay attention, all plants are real and they keep it in very good condition, there are a lot of details in decoration that makes you feel you are in a top place.
