We requested 2 rooms away from the elevators -- 2 months in advance when we booked the rooms. They emailed and said they would try. When we got there, both our rooms where right in front of the elevators. We requested to be on the same floor too. THat did not happen. They indicated they were very busy .... managing requested rooms 2 months in advance happens in the US easily with good management skills. Staff was not that friendly. Rooms were very small. We hardly could move around with our luggages on the floor.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. For the rest, refer to the photos. Really needs to look after the product and the customer service to which lacks greatly.

I stayed here for six nights. The hotel exceeded my expectations. At check-in, Leonardo (Leo), greeted me with kindness and attention. The location is excellent, close to the subway, banks, cafes, supermarkets, and everything you needed. The room had simple furniture, but it was very clean, quiet and the shower was wonderful, as well as ample space for luggage. The breakfast is plentiful, with a variety of breads, fruits, cakes, and coffees with genuine Brazilian flavor and attentive staff. Ana Carolina at the reception is always willing to help with whatever is needed. Unfortunately, the only employee at the bar, sr. Elder, is unprepared and rude. At dinner, there are delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is worth trying the pineapple caipiroska. I did not try the buffet. Caty and Andrew at the restaurant at night offer very warm service. They do everything to make the customer happy. I will definitely be back. I can recommend this hotel.

Being 1st timers , we were recommended to stay in this area and this hotel was good price among others. Being an Ibis, we didn’t expect much but it was all good. No water in room but water station at reception. Breakfast got a lot of variety including fruits. Walk to beach, walk to supermarket. Being in busy area, dirty platforms to walk. Only problem was the room service that comes after 4:30pm everyday. As most of us who stays in hotel, goes out after breakfast and come back rest afternoon to go out dinner again. May be staff shortage !

A nice hotel, clean, close to the copacabana beach and to meeting poinTs if you take a guided tour. Our room was quiet and it was cometable in general. Not all the stuff speaks english ( like in other places in Brazil) but they are communicative and do their best to assist you. They have a locked safes room near the reception where you can have a safe for your use. Neighborhood seems to be safe according to Rio standart, which means, be aware and try not to be an easy target. We have walked around and did not feel any danger. Like in all Rio you will find homless people sleeping in the streets, again, we did not have a contact with them.
