We booked this hotel late at night as we were passing through Germany. We thought that we couldn't go wrong with a 4* Mercure hotel and we were wrong. I wish I looked at the pics before booking. Absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed at. Rooms from 1960 with broken windows, dirty carpets with holes in them. No air-conditioning or even fans. The only good thing about it was the lady at reception who could probably see our shock when we got there.

first time to stay at mercure magdeburg. room was old style but still ok. bathroom was more modern and large. breakfast was nice and good options as usual at mercure. they have closed garage but since i arrived late, could park on street for free.

This is a place falling apart. there are dirty spors on the floor and they never give you new towels. I took pictures to.send it to friends. they were shocked... it is so bad, that it is nearly good again. the prices for having a pair of socks cleaned are so high you can get new ones. Ridiculous. Sometimes they shout at you wear a mask, sometimes 10 people without a mask sit there. WOW. THIS IS 2 "STARS". Rooms dont get cleaned. if you put a dont disturb sign they walk in.

A pleasant stay , you could feel the effects of Covid 19 ! The staff morale is still high and friendly! The hotel is ageing needs refurbishing and upgrade to air condition. Otherwise a nice place to spend a day or two! The city has a lot to offer! You

Hotel in the downtown of the city. Small room, with coffee maker Bathroom is small and not modern style. The staff is fine, Price is fine not so expensive. The area is fine, main street, near to a nice church.
