I stayed for business reasons more than 10 months from Feb. to Nov 2024 at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Serviced Residences. The stay was far beyond expectations. A great location in Jamsil, fantastic 5 star accomodation and high level quality of the services provided to the Residents. This place was really a home away from home for me and this is also mainly due to the amazing professionalism and friendliness of the team. T

Great stay. Rooms and concierge were amazing. Shout out to Helia Jeon, concierge and Gwen Song, front desk check in for going above and beyond with our requests. Haven't experienced this level of personal service in a very long time. Thank you for a great stay! We'll definitely be back.

The service is consistent and professional but with certain systemic issues this time around. 1. Pre-arrival email is generated by the club team; which is great as they remember preferences. However, the follow-ups/responses can be random, with different members of staff replying differently. Staff should refer to their guests' profiles firmly on record to avoid time-consuming cross-referencing. The saving grace was the Assistant Front Office Manager Mr. Woody WooSuk Son, who managed the correspondence and made it a point to receive me personally on my arrival. He also checked in on my comfort throughout my stay and remains, in my opinion, a great bastien of hospitality. 2. The check-in process by Ms. Zuri at the Club was seamless. As always, Zuri exudes a sense of calm and professionalism in going about her tasks. She multitasks by performing Front Office procedures as well as F&B chores effectively. She recalls beverage preferences and is able to relate them to her team members very well. It was also a pleasant surprise to see the GM, Ms. Cho Min-Sook, personally walking the grounds and leading by example. The welcome note from her in the room came across sincere and endearing. It's apparent that the hotel is very well-managed. 3. Housekeeping was functionally good and consistent. The housekeeper, Angie, had a very friendly and approachable disposition about her. However, the weekend housekeeper needs to stop slamming doors against latches. It creates a lot of noise and vibration and causes wear and tear. 4. The Club service was exquisite. They try their utmost to cater to the comfort of every guest. In particular, the service standards of Ms. Sunny Ji-Sun Park (Guest Experience Manager), Ms. Annette (Guest Relations Manager), Ms. Jae (Front Office Manager) and even Ms. Gina (Director of Rooms) who were always present to ensure smooth operations. Duty manager, Mr. Ethan Wah-Seok Oh, and Regina (Guest Relations) also came by to check in on guest experience but the staff member I really appreciate this time around is Mr. JooHang Song (Front Office Supervisor), who assisted me unconditionally on some issues faced. He was able to converse with me in native, fluent English (New Zealand) and was extremely attentive and helpful. Certainly, the other team members like Evelyn, Ginny, Aaron, Jenna, Hon Ji, Sue, Lina and others demonstrated sound levels of service. 5. As before, the Club could benefit from a distinction of space between club/suite guests and premium (Platinum/Diamond) guests. There should not be mingling as the noise and inconvenience caused by inconsiderate guests who are inappropriately dressed, continue eating beyond service hours, watch videos aloud on their devices and drag chairs loudly across wooden floors. Club staff, especially new heartists, need to enforce rules more consistently and strictly. Still, I'm looking forward to my return in Winter for the chill ❄️ will always be mitigated by the warmth of the service team; even the eggs chef (Jun Chuk-I might have gotten his name wrong) and the keen leadership of Executive Chef (Monsieur Mikhal), who is ever so ready to banter with guests on culinary delights. Lucky enough to be able to spend my birthday with Sofitel last month and I must say it was my best birthday ever in years! Thank you so much once again Sofitel seoul ;) Upon checking in at the lounge I was greeted by Woody and Julien despite being busy on a busy Sunday. Was checked in seamlessly by Hanji. Her zest and warm and recognition from both woody and Julien started my trip by so right! Thank you guys. Woody even escorted me to my fav corner as well! Cocktail hours over at the lounge I was greeted by name from Joo and everyone in the team. Bubbles and food were awesome too! Best part came on my birthday as well wishes were echoed from concierge all the way to the club lounge. Chief concierge Danny even ran to me and wish me happy birthday when I was about to enter the lift! Handmade cards were given to me by Irene/Gwen and pic card were taken by Ginny over at the lounge which really made my birthday a memorable one. Not forgetting all the deco done on my mirror as well. Thank you so much guys! Service were sincere and consistence thru my stay as always. Special mention to Ginny/Ava/Aaron/Flora/Irene/Gwen/Heartists and Danny for your big favour with my online order! For all the effort given thru my stay on my birthday trip thank you once again! It’s always the simple details that count and thanks for making it all worthwhile! I’ll be back in Jan and I shall see everyone in Sofitel real soon ;)
