We bought ‘The Two Of Us’ wedding package at Banyan Tree Samui and got married there 10 days ago. In the 6 months leading up to the wedding, we received excellent customer service from our wedding organiser, Khun Som, who answered all our queries regarding details and itinerary planning. The hotel was everything we hoped it would be. It is immaculately clean, well maintained, and stylish, as was our villa. All the staff are professional, warm, efficient. We had our own named villa host, Nicha, who looked after our every need and question and was available via text throughout our stay. We enjoyed a variety of wellbeing activities, including an introduction to Muay Thai boxing, ocean breath meditation, sound bath meditation, and spa treatments. We also had a private cookery course, which was a highlight as we’re both big foodies. The food and drink at the Banyan tree is excellent and every meal was delicious. Our wedding day itself was everything we hoped it would be. Our wedding, and entire stay at the Banyan Tree, was everything we hoped it would be and we couldn’t be happier with our entire experience.

Banyan Tree Samui was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly impeccable - attentive, warm, and effortlessly thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. Our stay was to celebrate my 40th birthday, made even more special when we arrived at our villa to beautifully arranged balloons, a delicious birthday cake and towel art, all such a thoughtful and genuinely touching surprise. A special thank you to our villa host, Dada, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our 9 night stay was perfect. Her kindness, professionalism and genuine care made the experience even more memorable. We stayed in a Hillcrest Horizon Villa, and the views were absolutely breathtaking — sweeping ocean vistas that felt almost unreal, especially at sunrise. The villa offered complete privacy and a sense of calm that made it incredibly hard to leave. Thoughtful in-room touches elevated the experience even further, from the signature room spray and pillow menu, to daily treats, incense and an oil burner at turndown that always made coming back to the villa such a pleasure. The housekeeping team were always lovely to have a chat with, especially Dvenpen and Peet. Breakfast at The Edge each morning was such a joy, we both enjoyed the daily specials and appreciated that the cooking stations would bring food to your table. Dining at the Beachside restaurant was a highlight, with beautifully prepared dishes, fresh flavours and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complemented the setting. We especially enjoyed the Beach BBQ night with the fire show. Thank you to Eng, who always greeted us by name, together with Jack and Poom we always received such a warm welcome. Also a special thank you to Nee, we really appreciated all you did for us. The spa was outstanding, set in the most beautiful grounds, the Rainforest Experience was deeply relaxing. During our stay we both had massages which were excellent, a special mention for Nan who was calm, intuitive and highly skilled. Both visits were a perfect way to fully unwind and reset. Exploring the island was a highlight of our stay. Note was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making the tour both enjoyable and insightful, while Dak, our driver for the day, was wonderfully attentive - always on hand with cold water and refreshing towels, which was so appreciated. Back at the resort, Poom’s attentive and warm service on the beach made our days by the sea effortless and memorable. A sailing lesson with Tong was another highlight, such good fun. A couple of suggestions: While we enjoyed the hammocks by the beach, could these be moved away from the goals/table tennis/boxing to create a more relaxing experience? Lobby bar Happy Hour - this could be improved by adding some outside tables, perhaps at Infinity point or the Edge. If you had some chill out music this could create a wonderful atmosphere for sundown drinks. Banyan Tree Samui truly sets the gold standard for luxury hospitality. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. Thank you so much to the incredible team, especially Dada, who ensured our stay was unforgettable. We cannot wait to return.

Having stayed at a number of Banyan tree properties, I had extremely high expectations and they’ve been met in every area at the Banyan Tree Samui. The villas are large and really well appointed, and the housekeeping team do a super job in cleaning them twice a day. The breakfast buffet is of a very high standard, and I’d highly recommend sampling all of the tropical fruits (if in season, ask for mangosteen!). We ate at the beach restaurant last night, and the food quality was excellent. I’d also recommend taking part in the comprehensive selection of complimentary daily activities - some are centred around the beach (sailing, kayaking, Thai boxing, snorkelling) and others are wellness orientated (think yoga, sound healing etc). All are really enjoyable and run by a friendly and professional team! However, what really sets this property (and all Banyan Tree properties) apart is the really outstanding, authentic and genuine service. This sets the Banyan Tree brand apart from other leading luxury hotel brands. My elderly father was unwell yesterday, and the team went above and beyond to take care of him (sending electrolytes and various hot teas to the room, regularly checking-in on him). The buggy service has also been exceptional, with response times generally less than 4/5 minutes. We’ve had super positive encounters with all staff that we’ve met at the hotel, though I’d like to thank Khun Gigg (restaurant manager at the beach restaurant) and his colleague Khun Poom, Khun Rang (beach activities manager) and Khun Stamp (manager at breakfast). Of course, no hotel of this standard can operate at this very high level without a general manager and f&b director that are meticulous and in the detail - a special thanks to Khun Apple (general manager) and Khun Rainer (F&B director) for helping to ensure we’ve had an outstanding stay that has exceeded all our expectations. We loved every minute of our week at this very special resort, the only downside is how sad you are to leave. The resort is stunning and like living in a postcard with so much attention given to making your stay magical. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, the spa is an experience not to be missed and the day trip on their private boat to Angthong Marine Park truly one of the most memorable days of my life - breathtaking natural beauty with lunch on a private island with monkeys and turquoise water and white sand - so special. The grounds of resort are meticulously kept and housekeeping team world class. Our villa host Daya was amazing and helped us put together a great itinerary to see around the island though the resort is so perfect and dinner experiences with fire shows and traditional dancing so good we’d recommend spending most of your time on island at resort. Beach is immaculate with staff cleaning beach and water and putting out towels and bringing drinks and organising snorkeling or kayaking gear at your request and great beach and pool bars. It’s a splurge but totally worth it - you feel so pampered and surrounded by majestic nature.
