Great location at the riverbank with a nice view over the Miljacka river and the city's promenade. Hotel is looking grand with a big impressive lobby and a nice restaurant and bar. Rooms were disappointing. Had to change room 3 times, first one was smelly, the other one was not well cleaned and full of spider webs. The double glass on the windows has not been cleaned for years and one assumes it it also quite a challenge due to the way front wall is designed. But the staff was accommodating and helpful so the third room hit the spot. Breakfast was nice, but same every day. My favorite were plum marmalade and Turkish tea.

I stayed with my wife for four nights. If we rates each field Front desk nice people specially Sara and the only positive point of this hotel House keeping , the worst part of hotel. They never do anything. After they clean the room it’s more dirty and required items never replaced. Cooling system very bad. In end of September AC just hardly is a fan with no cooling at all. They gives different nonsense excuses. Breakfast is under normal standard . Operators never attend calls Room service always not there. They were charging the name to Movenpick . It’s better to develop their staff to improve the quality of their services.

Lots of renovation and no notice or warning

The biggest issue is the renovation and construction going on. They are replacing the carpets and things are ripped up everywhere and the new carpets smell horrible. I was on the 9th floor and they were doing this one the 10th floor, or at least storing something there. I could smell it everywhere. Then, perhaps to cover the smell, they decided to start painting the hallway when it was full of guests! Now it smelled like paint and workers were painting and blocking the rooms. I complained about this when I checked out and the staff was very unhelpful and sort of muttered and walked away after telling me something that probably can not be in this review. Honestly, I tried to resolve this directly before I left, but the front desk was not interested so I said, okay, I'm going to contact Accor and write some reviews. The staff in general was quite unprofessional for this quality of hotel and need some more training. They lounge in the backroom on a couch in view of the lobby or play on their phones. The room was also dirty and the bathroom is very small. Breakfast wasn't bad, but crowded. The hotel is quite far from all the tourist parts of Sarajevo. I've had to alter this review a few times, so hopefully it will work now.

Good base for sightseeing of Sarajevo.

Old fashioned, large hotel, with monumental mutual parts, like lobby and bar. The room was luxury, with comfy bed and large bathroom. Generally clean and with good service. Some problems with noisy works on the ground floor, because of rebranding this venue. Non-alcohol hotel policy was very unpleasant and dissapointing part of our stay.
