The Mercure Belgrade Excelsior is a great choice for exploring Belgrade, The friendly and helpful staff made our stay even better, providing us with a map and detailed recommendations for what to see and do in the city. The area felt safe and pleasant, making it an ideal base. The hotel itself has a charming historic vibe, with features like the old lifts adding character. However, the rooms felt a little dated, and the bathroom was quite small. While modernising might take away some of the charm, the current setup may not appeal to those looking for luxury. That said, it’s functional, and offers value for money. We didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant, as Belgrade offers plenty of dining options nearby. The transport links were also excellent, making it easy to get around. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you value location, hospitality, and a touch of character. While it’s not a modern luxury hotel, it’s a reliable and safe option, and I’d happily return for another stay.

This hotel is well situated in the city center and a quick walk away from the most popular tourist attractions and many landmark buildings like the National Assembly and St. Mark’s Church. The room was quite good but the customer service was a bit average.

Hotel Mercure Excelsior is exactly what I was looking for my celebratory birthday weekend in Belgrade. Just minutes away from all the main tourist attractions, cool bars and restaurants. What makes this historical place truly great is it's amazing team, from reception to housekeeping and f&b, such kindness and willingness to go above and beyond deserve a grade 10/10. Also, attention to details like sending a birthday cake is much appreciated. I am really looking forward to my next visit to Belgrade and I already know where I will be staying, that is Hotel Mercure Excelsior! Hvala

Very disappointing

This hotel is worn out needing serious upgrade. There’s no one to help with the luggage. With my bad knees ( I am a senior citizen), I had to haul up my suitcases 8 stairs up to the 50 year old elevator that works in super slow motion. Their Restaurant was closed at 11 pm when we checked in. Room aircon did not work as they had “shut it down “ for winter season . I called the reception that room is claustrophobic as there is no air circulation . The guy said “ you can open the window” . I did that but along with air came lot of traffic noise. Luckily we had booked for one night as the the hotel was not looking good from the Website. Also our room was without breakfast so we had a delicious breakfast at St Marks Place nearby. This place is complete avoid.

This is the best location you can have for visiting Belgrade. The staff is very polite and helpful. Internet connection is great. Breakfast is nice. Don't expect large selection, but its nice. Elevator could be a bit faster, I wont give 4 stars just because od that. Hotel is enviromental friendly which is a nice touch. Everything is clean and tidy. Great experience!
