This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are amazing and the grounds are spectacular. The weather this time was a bit mixed, and so we were annoyed we didn’t bring a few more warmer clothes. The service in the restaurants was really hit and miss. Some times it was just ok, other times it was too slow, and this wasn’t good enough for such an expensive hotel. And this was also made worse as we have three small children who can’t wait more than 2hrs for dinner to be finished. The absolute highlight though was Zakaria by the pool. He was fantastic, he remembered us from last year which was such a great personal touch. He was so responsive and helpful for anything and everything, and always made sure we had our sun loungers waiting for us! He was the star memory of our trip. If they could have their bar and restaurant staff as good and responsive as Zakaria, then the hotel would be outstanding and worth the cost, and the rating would be excellent. But for the slow service felt everywhere else, and the cost, it can only be mid rating

This is a beautiful property with gorgeous rooms and only thirty mins from the medina. However, We stayed here in 2023 and the level of service has gone down quite remarkably with the addition af some really annoying rules. Restaurant Service Service at the restaurants at breakfast and lunch not even three star. Despite lots of staff present I had to ask repeatedly for simple things. At lunch one day we asked the waiter what lunch would be quick and having then ordered it took an hour and despite my repeated requests no one was able to update me which was frustrating and rude. I wouldn’t have cared if I’d been updated but just the lack of communication was bad. The slow service continued in the bar one night when there were literally no other customers. Golf Since our last visit there are all sorts of non sensical new rules. You were told that we were not llowed to use driving range if we did not have. T time. Even then there WS. Restriction on balls. This was disappointing a. The golf was a major reason for staying. In edition they now insist you have a caddy. Our frustration was not the cost (which we would have hppuly donated) but the intrusion on our holiday. We didn’t want a caddy but to enjoy family time. Finally we took. Garden suite for two dust two teens. This wa divertissement s being for 4. The min bed was super luxurious and comfy. However one of the teens hd to sleep on a sofa. This was not a sofa bed and despite them putting a (50cm) wide thin bit of foam on top this was extremely uncomfortable and rock solid. The cleanliness and housekeeping was good. Overall. Lovely sty but not sure we would go back on basis of the new golf rules and frustrating service.

I went for a short 4 day break and the hotel lived up to expectations. The highlight was my daily Padel lessons with the fantastic Medhi who operates the Royal Palm Tennis and Padel academy. The facilities are excellent and Medhi’s coaching was top draw. I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a short break in a fantastic climate with luxury accommodation and facilities.

We stayed for 3 nights after a couple of other stops in Morocco. It’s a lovely hotel, great pool, enjoyed the tennis courts, food was excellent. All the staff were charming and worked really hard. However at almost every point we experienced issues with service which just took the shine off of the whole experience (and it’s not cheap so we didn’t feel these should be issues) Firstly check in was confusing, we had booked for 3 nights but our reservation was for one. We got upgraded to a beautiful presidential suite (thank you) but were initially told we’ll need to move rooms half way through. Every meal (with exception of oriental restaurant which was great) had some issues… in the Italian my sons food arrived after we all ate, coffee arrived 10 mins before hot milk at breakfast so had to keep reordering, salad didn’t arrive at lunch until after all finished, they booked us into wrong restaurant on second night. And then cleaner put our red wine in the fridge and it spilt (and was cold when we went to drink what was left) and it took an hour of talking to 6 different people to get it replaced by which time we were nearly ready for bed. We then felt awkward having to ask to have these mistakes removed from restaurant bills rather than it being automatic. At this price you’d expect seamless service. I’d recommend that frontline team members are given more authority to fix issues immediately themselves rather than have to keep escalating to senior staff to create better guest experience.
