What a gem of a property in the Accor catalog of accommodation and hospitality! I am a senior, solo, single traveler, and Ibis rooms are just fine with me! The Wi-Fi could be a little bit better, but that's the problem with the vendor and the Internet service Provider, not the Ibis. Although this Ibis would be within their rights to demand better service- in 2023, with 100+ rooms. I came directly from an Ibis in Lisbon, which had fewer items for breakfast, and no Chef for evening dinner! The breakfast is a wonderful mix of Moroccan, Arabic, French foods, but also American/English. Scrambled eggs are made without dairy, and I brought my own gluten-free bread from Carrefour to be sure. While they do have a container of Honey, I bring my own, as I don't like touching containers and spoons touched by other customers... another customer absconded with my honey yesterday, and one of the wait staff had to retrieve it! Three languages are spoken here: Moroccan, Arabic, French, and plenty of English. Any word that is too specific can be translated on any of the web translation sources. Like when I needed to explain that DHL was bringing a package with my gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that Carrefour does not stock! There's been some shuffling of the wait staff in the last few days, but besides being new, quiet, and shy, they are all talented and all understand hospitality. The evening dinner is attended to by the top echelon of the hotel staff and everything is more than fine – which in my case means a very plain and simple American taste. Since I don't carry currency, the evening food bill goes on my room tab. Breakfast was part of the booking in the first place, but I don't fully understand what "half-board" means, if that means evening dinner, so I will be inquiring about that. Being next-door to the train station means it's a three minute walk to excellent sight seeing and people watching. And McDonald's of you so care, and at least two mobile phone SIM shops. Carrefour is a 10 minute walk, and there is a shopping mall which is about a 20 minute walk which I will be visiting for recreation purposes and window shopping, to get a feel for the retail culture of this city. And people watching! I did read about the potable water situation on a Moroccan tourism page. This Ibis has plenty of bottled water, so just ask- at Reception and of course in the Restaurant. I also read about cash versus credit card. The three places that I have spent money at have all accepted cards. It is currently Ramadan, but this Ibis respects International tourists' needs and wants. No disruption of service- and the staff seem to be very happy to be celebrating the holiday. My room had two minor maintenance issues, which were resolved quickly. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, and well manicured. I have stayed with other brand name chain hotels in the US and Europe. There is nothing in this historic building that is outdated, or in need of renovation. The most important amenity at this ibis is the hospitality of the staff and management.

Right first you need to understand this is an Ibis and its in north africa. Its not a Hilton nor a 4Seasons, but it is clean and all you expect from an Ibis. The decor is an ibis, the rooms clean, bright, functional. The ensuite is in perfect working order. Of course some parts of the hotel need some attention, maybe the decor is a little tired, some broken tiles here and there but overall it doesnt really detract from the experience. Its not bad, but its hardly life threatening. One thing you cant fault is the service. When I stayed there a guy at the front desk (in a light brown coat I forget his name) spoke perfect English, and very friendly, polite, professional and welcoming. There was another young guy in the hotel bar who spoke perfect English and he too was very professional and polite. Good gin and tonics while watching football on the big TV - they even switched to English commentary for me! Overall everyone working there give great service that cannot be faulted, and despite a few cosmetic issues with the fabric of the hotel (and there are really only minor) it was overall a good time spent there and represents good value. I wouldnt hestiate to go again. Really cant fault service, ibis is a budget hotel but the service you get from this one in Marrakech is far from budget, its very good. Service 10/10 Decor 7/10 Room 8/10 Bathroom 7/10 Bar 9/10 - Overall 8/10

Worst Ibis Hotel EVER! This hotel is bringing shame to the Ibis brand. It’s a health hazard. The room is full of mold, the elevator is ancient. The housekeeping team should be fired immediately. They don’t know the meaning of cleanliness. They kept bath towels on top of the wash basin which is supposed to be a place full of germs. There was no bath mat, no tea/coffee service in the room. When we asked for a hairdryer, the housekeeping team told us to ask the reception and the receptionist told us to ask the housekeepers. Did they thing we are a bunch of ping pong balls? The pillows and the mattresses provided in the rooms need to be discarded immediately. I don’t think they have been changed since 1990, by the way it’s the same year the elevator was installed. Receptionist was so rude. Accor should take note of this and shut down this hotel which is an absolute disgrace in the name of an Ibis.

This Hotel literally shocked me. Hotel it self look tired and dirty. Checking in was just ok, no feeling of welcoming . Carpets are dirty and corridors are smelly. Room was too tired and felt its dirty. Just 2 Sachet of shampoos provided. Its evident this Hotel doing their best to be a budget hotel by not providing what it suppose to provide. No tea or coffee making facilities. Checkout supposed to be quick as I paid everything on arrival. Two of staff attending to a one guest and me waiting even not acknowledged. was waited like 15 min as I want to receive the invoice for the stay. literally I have to excuse them and provide them the email to receive the invoice. No apology for keep me waiting and I can say its very poor customer service. I think Accor Hotels should do a audit in this Hotel to see its service standards , and for property it self. Other guests are noisy on corridors .Its sad to see a Hotel in this condition
