Not sure about the recent bad reviews. We had zero problems with either of our rooms that were booked. They accommodated late checkout for one of the rooms and even one room was ready when we arrived way too early. The front desk was always more than helpful and willing to assist with all requests. There’s a small city tax but it’s like $16 for both rooms and three nights. The room is large (for Tokyo) and the bed super comfortable. The bathroom is adequate not a traditional Japanese style but gets the job done. The location is terrific 4 min walk covered to the JR lines, and access to a few subway lines further down as well. It’s hard to keep 5 star expectations for any hotel in this league. But they are definitely near the 5 star, prices are adequate for Tokyo and the size of room, just book in advance to save money. Overall would definitely consider making this a base camp for my next journey to Tokyo.

Overpriced, disappointing and not a 5 star hotel

This is the 4th hotel in which we've stayed during a two week trip to Japan. All others have been 4 star, also Accor Group hotels, and we thought we'd treat ourselves with a 5 star hotel for our final night. Unfortunately, of all the hotels we've used, this is the poorest. It's definitely not 5 stars. It's an average 4 star hotel. The location is handy for the train station and for getting to the airport but that's about it. There are far better locations to stay in Tokyo. The room is a good size and the bed is huge. However, the bathroom was tiny and the shower not very good. The shower over the bath tub felt like something from a 3 star hotel. No amenities in the bathroom. You have to request them from reception. That is not 5 star standard. All our 4 star hotels had everything you might need in the bathroom, and their bathrooms were larger. Water and Nespresso machine in the room as you'd expect but the Nespresso machine was dirty. In any hotel I stay in with a coffee machine, I run it through with water first to ensure it's clean. It usually is. But not here. It was dirty. I didn't find the staff friendly at all. They seemed rather abrupt, not very welcoming and definitely not the service I'd expect for a 5 star hotel. Service is what often sets 5 star apart from 4 star, but not here. Also, a member of staff walked into our room just after we had arrived! He asked if the room needed cleaned. Why would it need cleaned when we'd literally just arrived?! He didn't even knock or ring the doorbell. The room has a bell, so please use it! We were disappointed that the rooftop bar was closed for a private function. Don't advertise a rooftop bar with views as one of your unique selling points then close it to your paying guests! We would definitely not stay here again and I would not recommend it. It is overpriced and not 5 star quality. If you're an Accor ALL member, there are better 4 star hotel options in Tokyo than this supposed 5 star! Go check them out instead!

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Pullman Tokyo Tamachi

I recently stayed at Pullman Tokyo Tamachi for the second time, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of care and customer focus from this hotel. Despite initially crediting points to my ALL account, including the 3X rewards points promotion, the hotel later deducted them, citing a 'system error.' When I raised the issue, they outright refused to honor the points, even though I had rightfully earned them based on the amount I paid. As a loyal Diamond Accor member who spent a total of 201,600 JPY on my stay, I expected better treatment and transparency. I only asked for the points that were due to me, but the hotel’s response has been dismissive and unsatisfactory. This experience has left a very negative impression of Pullman Tokyo Tamachi. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking fair and respectful treatment as a loyal Accor member. Extremely disappointing and not up to the standards I expect from the Pullman brand.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman Tokyo Tamachi in October! There are not enough good things to say about this hotel and the exceptional staff. We stayed for 7 nights after a transpacific cruise. Location - a 2 minute walk from the Yamamoto Line and a 3.5 minute walk from the Mita Station. It was so easy to get to all of the major areas and tourist attractions. There are also many great restaurants within a 1-10 minute walk and super easy access to a supermarket, 7-11 and FamilyMart. We loved that it was very well located, but also quiet and peaceful. Because it was a business district, we also noticed that there was more English spoken here than other areas of Tokyo (we tried to speak Japanese when we could, but we only knew basic phrases) Room - we had a lovely room with a king (or maybe even larger) bed, great bathroom with shower and reasonable closet space. It was very clean and well appointed. Restaurant - the breakfast buffet was amazing and I also had a delicious lunch at the restaurant. The service was fantastic and everyone’s English was great (my Japanese is terrible) Room service - I had one room service meal - it was okay, but not the highlight of our stay. Check-in and check-out - both were very smooth. We were at the hotel early (right off the cruise ship so about 10 am) and the staff sent us up to the executive lounge until our room was ready. It was only about a 15 minute wait. Check out was very smooth as well, staff was incredibly helpful with our bags etc getting us into a taxi to head to the airport. Executive Lounge - this was truly the highlight of this overall great hotel. Jordan and his team could not have been more welcoming, hospitable and helpful. 5 days into my stay I seriously sprained my ankle stumbling on some stairs and they could not have been more helpful. All hotel staff were great - providing a wheelchair for the rest of the stay, bringing bags of ice to the room and looking after me. I couldn’t have asked more from a family member! The lounge itself is a welcoming space, with snacks and drinks (including wine and beer) available for most of the day and a wonderful happy hour from about 5 to 7:30 with some amazing Japanese whisky and appetizers. The team was also incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations, activity suggestions and overall assistance with any logistics required (for me that included finding crutches and a medical clinic). I am incredibly grateful for this team. I would stay here again any time I return to Tokyo - thank you so much!
