Novotel graciously invited the members of Age Concern Bishop’s Stortford to their hotel, generously hosting and covering the cost of a delightful Christmas meal. The staff were truly amazing—from their excellent communication leading up to the event, to their attention to detail and the genuine kindness they displayed throughout the day. I just want to start off by saying as soon as I arrive into the car park there’s a good variety of space and spots as I stay here for work down in London every week. The staff Otis and Sylwia are incredibly friendly and are always happy and jolly to see me as a returning customer week in week out. They are extremely helpful and guide me into the right direction if I struggle to find my right room and show me where the gym is and the restaurant and bar.

Stayed the evening of the Christmas Party event. Lovely comfortable room. Pillows were the comfiest I’ve ever slept with!! Room was a little shabby in places, bathroom handle was hanging off and bathroom door did not lock. This didn’t matter much to me as it was just me in the room and was only there for 1 evening. Breakfast was lovely and timings for it were great too Samantha the events coordinator was perfect at every touch point and great communication throughout planning.

Effortless Airport and Parking Combo !

We were flying to Cologne the following day and chose to stay overnight at the Novotel Stansted Airport Hotel the previous evening, with 4 days parking included (making our reservation though Holiday Extras for just £98). We arrived at around 9pm and almost missed the driveway entrance, as the Novotel sign is a navy blue in colour and was not illuminated in any manner against the dark night sky. We drove into the car park, which initially seemed totally full towards the front of the building, however by exploring over to the left hand side, there was plenty of overspill car-parking. Having parked, we then walked the short distance to the hotel entrance. Externally, the premises present as an attractive sprawling three-storey building, which radiates outwards from an airy lobby. We stepped into reception, were warmly greeted and allocated room 153, on the ground floor, towards the rear of the building. We were helpfully advised that the restaurant closed at 10pm, but that bar meals were available until 11pm. We were given a Hoppa bus timetable for morning transfers to the Terminal building. Hoppa buses leave each hour, on the hour from outside the Lobby. They return from the Terminal each hour at quarter-past. The journey time is less than 10 mins and cost £4 per person each way. We made our way along the corridor to our room and stepped-in. All the usual Novotel touches. Nice size en-suite shower-room, wc, washbasin, pump action dispensers for toiletries and fluffy white towels. The room had a very comfortable double bed, sofa bed, large flatscreen TV, ample wardrobe space, good lighting, mini-fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, iron and effective aircon. Housekeeping was immaculate throughout. We ate dinner in the restaurant. The menu offered a good selection of well-prepared meals, at reasonable prices. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. After a nightcap in the bar, we had a restful night's sleep and after express check-out, we took the Hoppa bus and were in the Airport in no time. On returning, we simply took the Hoppa bus back from the Terminal to the hotel, jumped in our car and drove home. An effortless stay.
