I've been to lots of Ibis hotels around the world and always enjoyed the hotel, but this was a bit different. The bed mattress was very stiff and my back was sore every night. The A/C didn't had to option to cool the air. It could only heat. That was terrible. I called the reception to report the issue and they sent a technician who just said that at this time of the year there is no option for cool mode. We woke up at night all sweaty - not a nice way to wake up at a vacation. Breakfast was Ok.. not much to eat and it was pretty much the same everyday. We took the superior room with balcony and it was a bit smaller than I expected. The balcony has no roof so when it rained you couldn't enjoy sitting there. Coffee was excellent, staff were nice and polite. The location is quiet and safe but not central at all. Overall it was just Ok but in this price you could find better hotel and closer to the center. I defientely expected more from Ibis. Next time I will think twice before reserving a room at Ibis.

It is no longer what it once was.

Good hotel with good breakfast spread. However, the service fr the reception is not exactly pleasant . Our first day of arrival on our holiday . Do not feel the friendliness of the reception at all. Checkin is so so slow . They made us wait so long to don the checkin as we have 6 pax n booked 3 twin bed rooms. Could not locate one of the member name n we hv to call our travel agent n they in turn called them b4 they give us our room.

So it was a birthday trip as I do every year to places I've never been. I stayed at an Ibis in Estonia and loved the hotel. So I chose this one in Romania. I got a handicap room as I am not handicapped. I love to eat and drink and the food was great. My drinks were phenomenal. My bartender Nicolette was amazing. My drinks were freaking awesome. She was kind, engaging, always met my needs. Her smile was just welcoming. She met me once and knew what I needed. She is an asset you need. She made my short stay memorable. So thank you Nicolette for making my stay wonderful. ❤️

Deplorable behavior of employees

A week ago I was supposed to attend a conference organized at this hotel. I wanted to enter the hotel parking, given that there was no sign that there are no parking spaces. Before I could get a parking ticket, the guard came and started yelling at me how dare I want to enter the parking without asking his permission and told me that there were no more spaces. In the meantime, a car left the parking. He made me pull my car out into the street to make room for a car that, you see, belonged to the owner and the owner was just not going to leave the car in the street. He spoke to me deplorably. I wanted to report the situation to the person at the reception. I waited for about 10 minutes for the receptionist to finish with the client she was working with. In the end, I gave up, because the receptionist didn't even look at me. I talked to a gentleman who said he was in charge of organizing the event, but who, in fact, sided with the staff. That's fine, just know that it's a hotel where the staff has to feel good, and if there's room for the customers, we'll be happy with that.
