Good location

Visited for 2 nights in November this year. Hotel is in good location ,not in the center, but close to tram station and bus station. The Old Town and Parliament palata is 10 minutes away . There were clean towels ,hot water,dispensers in the bathroom. Very simple room but good enough for staying just for night ,while exploring the capital all day. There is cattle in the room also. There is food t shop near the hotel ,on the corner ,for water at least,and good meals. The breakfast is simple ,good coffee. There is a bar with draught beer ,coctails ,meals menu. Reception people are friendly. We were lucky to have a room with terrace. All restaurants and cafes are 10-15 minutes away but it's good walk ,the capital is amazing ,for visitors for first time,like me.

Great hotel good location

I visited Ibis in Feb 2024. I needed a hotel in city as my holiday was mainly to visit the Therme spa. And if the weather was good then I’d go for a city walk. It's in the city which is what I wanted. It's a 5min taxi drive to city centre old town. It has a great hot and cold breakfast. It has a lunch and dinner menu which is great as there's no restaurants surrounding the ibis. The ibis has a convenience shop next door which is a life saver if you need water and snacks. The ibis has good Wifi. A good outdoor area in front of the hotel. Reception staff were so kind and helpful. The room was comfy and had a safe and a kettle but sadly no milk. I will return again when I visit Romania.

Location was not 5 star, due to its quite isolated location away from shops and food outlets. However, e-hailing was convenient and there are bus stops and tram stops nearby

Adequate Option in Buc

Spent 6 nights there. Perceived the indoor fragrance in the lobby as sweetish, heavy and penetrating, kind of like Middle Eastern perfume. For me it was utterly unpleasant. They payed attention to all my requests concerning the room. Check-in pretty easy. Room featured a magnificent view to the south of the town and was spotless clean and the bathroom equipment top-notch. The stained fitted carpet was a shortcoming. The lateral main road is quite noisy, however it’s bearable with the window closed. Breakfast buffet is pretty rich and varied, although it offers pretty standard industrially processed staple. The freshly ground coffee is an asset. Juices are way too sweet and feature an artificial flavour. Enjoyed the juicy buttery scrambled eggs with the smoky lean bacon. Lots of veg options and fruits. Tomatoes were crunchy but tasteless. Nice spread of local cheeses. Baguettes and buns were crispy and delicious. There’s a Nutella barrel with tap. Weather permitted, guests can breakfast on the outdoor terrace. They were courteous to allow me to check out at 1pm. Due to distraction I forgot to put into my luggage some vacuum-packed smoked local specialities which I stored in the fridge a day before. Figured out the omission as I arrived home. Wrote them a message asking to send the stuff to my home address. They answered promptly stating that „perishable“ material would be dumped straight away. By and large, it’s an adequate option to stay in Buc, however slightly off the beaten path. Apart from the main road nearby, the area is quite relaxed featuring lots of buildings and private houses from the interwar years. I’d consider that option again.
