Arrived here from the Airport later in the evening. We had gotten a Taxi as it was actually cheaper than an Uber ( worth checking out). Check in was good and staff were friendly. Room was on the compact side but it had everything we needed.. To be honest when you arrive somewhere like this, late, in the dark it is difficult to get your bearings. It was not until the following morning Saturday that we realised how we were within walking distance to everything. Within a few minutes we were at the Salamanca Market, the port( Cruise Ships) , all the restaurants, bars, shops, tour buses, boat trips. Perfect place to base oneself in Hobart. We didnt get to use the pool/gym facilities as we seemed to be out all day/ every day. We did do breakfast though and if you inform them that you intend to eat there they offer a concession on the price. Breakfast was a buffet with a huge variety of options, delicious and just what you need before heading out again.. The breakfast room is very large but it is also very busy. The staff on main desk were very helpful, they made a couple of local phonecalls for me as my Irish phone would not allow me to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hobart and especially the Ibis Styles Hotel

I stayed 4 nights and although I didn't spend much in the hotel so the size of the room was good enough for me. Swimming pool (and sauna) was great, especially after the Hobart Marathon. The restaurant is very good - nice ambience and good selection of the food (I like Asian food). Location is slightly off the CBD area but since Hobart is a small city, it didn't bother me. Close to Salamanca Place and the Waterfront area.
