I wasn’t entirely sure about the location, but the overall atmosphere was pleasant. We checked three rooms, and unfortunately, all of them had a noticeable cigarette smell. That said, the value for the price was reasonable, and the cleanliness was decent. With regard to delivery, the bellman part was kind of slow. It was also nice that we didn’t hear any outside noise during our stay. Nathan was very welcoming and helpful- he quickly resolved a few issues and gave excellent travel advice around the city. I actually noticed there was a bug on a bath towel, but I actually forgot to mention it to Reception or housekeeping. The IRD food looked pre-made and they did not follow dietary requirements. They did resolve it by taking it off the room charge and ended up insisting a fruit platter sent as a token of apology. The IRD staff refused my request to open up the table entirely and I ended up extending the side of the dining table myself.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and the highlight was undoubtedly meeting Anastasia, the welcome ambassador of the hotel. She has the most warm and welcoming smile that makes you feel at home instantly. As an expat employee, she provided us with excellent local recommendations and was incredibly helpful throughout our check-in process. Her positive energy is contagious! I would like to take a moment to sincerely compliment the outstanding service I experienced at your 34th floor Sky Cafe during my first visit. The staff members Iris Qin, Ray Jin, and Nike Mo provided exceptional service with great warmth and enthusiasm. Although it was my first time there, their friendly and attentive attitude made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Their dedication truly enhanced my experience and has motivated me to visit your hotel again. Thank you for having such wonderful team members who create a positive and memorable atmosphere for your guests.

Great service and huge room

The room was extremely huge and comfortable with complimentary mini-bar. They provided evening turn down service with complimentary dessert, we really looking forward to our dessert every night ! We also enjoyed our happy hours on level 71 with their finger foods and coffee, and the spectacular view too! The breakfast was excellent too especially on our last day of stay , was greeted by Robert Yip, he’s exceptional hardworking, have seen him all day and night around the hotel F&B . He’s really concerned about our stay and making sure we enjoyed our stay there. Overall it was a wonderful experience except for a little disappointment on our booking of the Chinese restaurant which we decided not to dine there .

Disappointing stay

I stayed at 18 Raffles hotels worldwide (almost all) and this is the first one that I did not enjoy. While the rooms and facilities are nice, the service was lacking and I felt that the staff was very robotic. I stayed in other hotels in China, and while English was always a bit of a barrier, at least the people were friendly and hospitable, and doing their best. In the Raffles, I felt none of it, and would therefore not return. Perhaps the experience is better for guests who speak Chinese language.
