Follow up my last year review . Nothing much has changed . It is mainly the convinient location and a brilliant friendly manager Lorrele otherwise the breafast bar has not improved at all if not worse while the price has gone up again ! Accor privillages are declining gradually towards complete withdrawal sooner or later ! Total rating should be 3.5 maximum

Noisy, rude guests have become the norm here - Avoid if you value sleep

We have stayed at this hotel on and off since 2022, and while the hotel has always had its downsides, we still valued the comfort, cleanliness and location, so were willing to ignore little quirks. After our recent stay here during December 2025, we have resolved to not return to this hotel. Every single night since we have been here we have been kept awake all night by rude, noisy guests yelling, playing loud music, slamming doors as if the doors have somehow personally wronged them, and yelling obscenities in the halls. Reception says "report it", but how does one report it when every time you call down to reception no one answers and the phone just rings out? The couple of times we did manage to get through, security just came up, lightly tapped on the noisy guest's door and very timidly asked them to keep the noise down. That's not action. It appears that this hotel is marketing itself, and pricing itself, to a specific type of clientele which, quite frankly, should not be synonymous with the Accor brand, and certainly not the Novotel brand. The kind of antics we have put up with during our stay are the kind I would expect to encounter at some bogan backpacker joint. After many mostly positive stays over the years, this has been a deal breaker, and we will not be back.

Currently at this hotel and deliberately choose a Sunday night for a mini staycation thinking it would be less noisy. Needed this stay to reach platinum status. Can honestly say there is nothing wrong with this hotel, except maybe the balcony doors let in a bit too much noise, even on level 31. Priority check in was busy but moved efficiently and our room was available at 12.30pm which was great. Ocean view executive room was newly renovated and very comfortable with complimentary mini bar. All staff we encountered at reception and in the cafe were wonderfully hospitable and friendly. Elevators were fast and efficient. Haven’t been in surfers paradise for quite a while and it was a lovely stay. Would

I’ve been staying at this Hotel regularly since 2017. I’ve enjoyed watching the renovations unfold and I thought on my most recent visit I would have the same elevated and enjoyable experience. The room I booked was a deluxe King and I received an ‘upgrade’ to an Ocean facing room. The first room I was given I immediately went downstairs and asked to swap as it still had the same dusty carpet from the Marriott days and did not appear to be renovated. I was then given another room on a higher floor with new vinyl flooring but not much else. It was in poor condition not very clean and with unrepaired damage to the bench where the kettle sits. This really should be sitting on a tray or something and I’m not sure whether having it sitting directly under the TV is a good idea. The staff were lovely, the bed was comfy but this stay just feels a bit off. The breakfast room is still very unwelcoming and looks like a school canteen but the food is quite good. The downstairs bar is ok with a limited selection of food and a good Happy Hour from 3-5. The view was amazing. The pool was closed during the weekdays of our stay due to renovations and painting happening on the exterior of the building . I may return for the right price but this was quite a disappointing and underwhelming stay in a Hotel that I used to really enjoy visiting. The cleanliness seems to have really dropped off and the bathroom had no amenities at all provided . Dirty chipped and stained mug provided in room.
