Good location, but it's difficult to use the pool

Good location, and there are many restaurants nearby. There is a shuttle bus stop of Incheon airport in front of the hotel. It's very handy that there is a washing machine/dryer in the room. However, it is a pain in the arse that you have to book to use the pool, and you can only book once a day per room. A couple won't always go swimming at the same time. There are only two lifts in the hotel room tower. You have to be patient. The perfume in the lobby was a bit pungent.

My 2nd times staying at the hotel, first time on November 2023 and 2nd was on May 2024. Eventhough the hotel location a bit far from the famous myeongdong or Hongdae, but I always comeback :-) My preference was room with small kitchen since I have red meat intolerance and prefer something spicy, so sometimes I take some foods from my country and need microwave to heat the foods, so staying in the residence type of room was the best decision so far. Eventhough a bit disapointed since I've made a note asking for highest floor and this time they gave me room at 10th floor but that's okay. Hope that I can visit and stay there anytime soon.

Excellent clean and modern hotel. Spacious rooms. Twin beds. Reasonable costs. Outdoor and indoor pools are very clean but require a reservation. Outdoor pool age requirement of 19 and older. Excellent fitness facility but you need to be 16 or older. Located in an older part of town but close to excellent restaurants, outlet malls and the east gate wall. Very pretty at night. 20 min walk or 2 subway stops to Myeongdong street markets and major shopping stores. 35 to 40 minutes walk to the grand palace.

I’m currently staying here at the moment, and I’ve been a bit disappointed so far. I am currently on my honeymoon, and we chose an expensive room to stay in here specifically because we were enticed by the look of the pools and rooftop bar. It wasn’t until we arrived that we found out the rooftop bar is only open for 3 hours 2 nights per week (Saturday and Sunday). No where on their website or booking.com does it mention this, which was disappointing as it was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. When we did go up to the rooftop bar, I realised not being able to use the bar throughout our stay was not going to be such an issue. It’s very tacky, half of it is closed off so you can’t enjoy the best part of the view, the loungers didn’t have any cushions on them so you couldn’t sit on them, and there’s loud obnoxious music playing. They also have a terrible selection of beers. There are two pools, but you’re only allowed to use one of them for one pre-reserved 1.5-2 hour slot per day, and the outdoor adult pool closes at 5.30pm. Again, this information isn’t readily available prior to booking. I can rationalise why this might be the case, but it’s frustrating to not know this at the time of booking because we wouldn’t have chosen to stay here. The room on the other hand is fantastic. So that’s one good thing. However, the rooms weren’t the reason we wanted to stay here. Being able to utilise the pools and rooftop bar after we’ve been out exploring during the day was. We splurged on what we thought was going to be an amazing hotel for our honeymoon, but I’m really disappointed. I would not stay here again and I will not be recommending it to others.

Almost 5 star - pool reservations limited

Our family stayed here at a Residence Deluxe Room with 3 single beds during our vacation in Seoul. My short summery is that this is almost a 5 star hotel. Location - Dongdaemun - central to Seoul; about 1 hr from Incheon Airport and 15 minute subway to Myeondong. I would have prefer to stay close to either Hongdae or Myeondong for more night life. What I didn't like: Elevators - there are only 2 elevators on the residence side to take you to your room or the lobby, pool, exercise, and restaurant. Typically, I had to wait for these during the day. Remember, lobby is on the 20th floor and not the 1st floor. Pool - You only get to reserve use of the pool once a day during a certain time block. Since we're visiting Seoul, I needed some flexibility as I had plans to visit and do other things. This was very annoying to have only 1 slot per day. Most of the time, when I look into the pool, it was mostly empty but we weren't allowed to use it. This was very annoying and I wish I know before I booked. I would have considered else where. There are 2 pools (indoor and outdoor). The indoor pool is mostly for kids and family. The outdoor pool is for adults only. FYI, make sure you have a swim cap or will need to purchase one. Room layout - this was a small nit. The room was quite spacious and the restroom was had plenty of room. However, I felt it was room wasted. There was only 1 sink and the light switch turned on all the lights in the restroom. I wish they had separate switches or offer the option to dim a light. This would sure help when you're sleepy in the morning. Don't want to be woken up with all those lights. Shuttle - on a fixed schedule which wasn't flexible. What I liked: Beautiful hotel. Clean and well appointed. Very professional receptionist. They really tried to help us with our questions. Room - our Residence Deluxe Room 3 single bed was the largest room I've encountered during our trip. It was clean and well appointed. There was even a small kitchen and a washer/dryer. We took full advantage of the washer/dryer since we packed limited clothes. Beds - very comfortable with somewhat firm mattress and 2 pillows. I had a good sleep. Outlets - the room comes with plenty of USB-A outlets and standard Korean outlets. Breakfast - we had breakfast included in our booked. This was the best breakfast during our trip. They had a little of everything. Western station, Salad, and Korean. They had great Espresso machines (3 of them). A full pastry bar with fresh honey and jams. They even had fresh soy milk. My kids loved this breakfast every morning. Definitely worth it.
