Special experiences at Raffles Grand Hotel D'Angkor

Dear All, For all the discerning travelers out there let me tell you that there is not a better and a more amazing hotel in Siem Reap than the iconic Raffles Grand Hotel D'Angkor. I haven't stayed this time here, it's definetely my place to go for the next trip to Siem Reap, but I had some amazing experiences at Raffles that are worth sharing in this review. I chose to spent Christmas Dinner at Grand Cafe D'Angkor and it was an a-la-carte amazing experience with 4 dishes. The food presentation resembled Michelin restaurants, the services are literally the best you can ask for and the overall experience was really memorable. It was one Christmas Eve for the books! I chose to come back one hot afternoon for a High Tea Experience, which is served at The Conservatory, overlooking the hotel swimming pool and garden. It feels like an experience from another bygone era- the elegance of the room, the bespoke service, the pianist Raul sharing his talent with all of us. It was a rare moment that I truly loved- to pace down everything, to be present, grateful and taking it all in. Also, we did have another particular experience you can also try- "Raffles Gin Craze". We found out everything about the gin history from the Gin Butler Nisha, which presented us some amazing types of gin made in Cambodia especially for the Raffles Hotels (there are two Raffles in Cambodia- one in Siem Reap and one in Phnom Penh). At the end we did choose our favorite for one bespoke drink and spend the early evening just sipping the cocktail, listening to music, learining more about the history of this hotel and making a promise to spend here a few nights next time when Siem Reap will be calling. I had a wonderful New Year's Day 2026. We had a fantastic evening as a family. Thank you to Medhi and his team for their hospitality and for the wonderful dinner show.

The hotel is wonderful, and the service impeccable.

This is not my first visit to the hotel. I’m happy to report that it is still first class. The facilities combine the elegance of bygone times with the latest amenities. The service is impeccable, courteous and efficient. The Elephant bar is cosy and confortable. Having just arrived from Singapore, I report that the hotel’s Angkor Sling has nothing to envy the famous Singapore Sling.

We went with my family for an evening drink at the Elephant Bar, and the atmosphere is truly unique. The décor alone makes you travel. What truly stands out, and what allows you to fully enjoy the place, is the exceptional quality of the service. The refinement of the cocktails and the unique selection of spirits are perfectly complemented by a staff whose kindness matches their professionalism and attention to detail.
