Yes it’s expensive! Yes, some of the decor is slightly dated. But wow the experience is fantastic. The food offerings cannot be faulted. Brilliant River restaurant and the American Lounge is fantastic in atmosphere and offerings. The team are brilliant from Reception throughout the hotel to every member who are so professional pleasant and helpful. A great experience. Thank you!

Popped down to the Savoy for 3 nights to start our daughter’s birthday celebrations. The usual excellent welcome from Rob and Tony at the entrance , it’s so welcoming. Absolutely amazed to be upgraded to a suite, I never get lucky but did on check in! Complimentary champagne served in our room , quick spruce up then we hit the American bar, fantastic service as always. Every member of the team we met at the savoy were charming and made us feel very welcome and valued. We decided to take the car down as I feared I would be transporting a lot of shopping back to Derbyshire, faultless handover on drop off and collection, really appreciated this. Very good breakfasts were served each morning , until 11.00am if needed! The Savoy just makes us feel very special, and my daughter is already planning another visit

Superb stay, as always, this time booked the lovely suite with it's own little balcony which affords gorgeous views over the Thames and is a delight, even in October's gloomy weather, to sit on during the evening with a glass or two plus blankets! The River View Restaurant was a real treat and absolutely delicious, they have a dedicated Vegan menu, which is always appreciated. The American Bar, did also not fail to endear itself. A fabulous hotel in a perfect location. Cannot wait to get back.

Overall nice hotel, from a different era. Limited handicap access. Be ready to go up and down stairs to go to your room. Rooms are well furnished with high quality beddings. Staff is courteous and provides excellent service for the most part. The hotel location is not easilly accessible. Lots of cars and traffice at the entrance making it difficult to get to the hotel Ate breakfast at the river restaurant which has no view. The menu is boring and uninspiring. The service is just OK. Uncoordinated is the right word. I also ate the Gordon Ramsay restaurant and this was worth it. Surprised when checking out to see an accomodation service charge of around $33 per day. Why?? I was told it was optional. If so why did not you ask me before adding it. If I am paying $1000 a nigh for the room why should there be any tips? Will I stay there again? I think there are many other good options that I will look at.

The River Restaurant view extends out towards the River Thames through Victoria Embankment Gardens, where the trees at this time of year display their rich autumn colours which is quite lovely. Access to the majority of our rooms and suites is direct via either the green, blue or red lifts, so I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience of the room allocated for you with stairs. Please know that the team are always on hand to assist with viewing alternative rooms that may be more suitable; we want to ensure your comfort. The discretionary service charge should have been explained during your arrival, so I am sorry to hear this was overlooked and apologise for any frustration caused at the time. The savoy hotel stole money twice from our card. We had paid in full but after checkout the hotel withrew over £1000 then on the same day over another £1000 They had no right to take our money. So this is theft! The staff have been discusting in the way they have handeld this. They promise to ring and do not? They say they will send a Mail and do not? They just dont care! Not what you expect of a 5 star hotel
