Just wow! We’ve stayed at a lot of fairmont properties and they are always amazing. Mayakoba goes 3 steps above from any property I’ve ever been to. From the moment we stepped in the door we were treated with the best hospitality and customer service. The beaches the food the drinks all amazing. But what really stands out is the staff! Firstly I’d like to say thank you to Jessica and Elmer you guys took every request and made it better! Alfonso and Colin! Hope to see you when we come back! and thank you for helping us with everything. Every time we turned around you were there to help! Alfonso you are absolutely wonderful. To the Gentlemen on the grounds or maintenance team. You saved my wife’s dress from that bicycle and never gave up. Thank you thank you!!!! For not cutting the dress and spending so long untangling. To the housekeeping team!!!! I can’t believe you got the stains out! You guys are the best and saved my wife having to buy a new one. To the restaurant staff!!! Thank you for the multiple happy birthday messages and personalized happy birthday songs! I couldn’t have felt more special. Can’t wait to come back next November!!

Just spent an amazing week at Fairmont Heritage Place with friends. Amazing grounds, beautiful pools and beaches, and a variety of delicious restaurants to choose from. However, our butler, Dani, made this into an even more wonderful experience! I can't speak highly enough of Dani - he was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived until our departure. Throughout our entire stay, he was responsive, attentive to our needs, and so friendly! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a resort in Playa del Carmen!!

They are very funny!!! Is like a Circus . A dirty entretaiment Hix lobby bar is the best place on Fairmont Mayakoba with their funny monkeysss. I guess they dontt have a Boss near!! Never!! Is like a circus with a mexican people working there.!

This was our tenth visit to Fairmont Mayakoba and it feels like our home away from home. The resort is beautifully set among the mangroves and canals and offers a gorgeous sandy beach. However, what sets this resort above others is the staff. They welcome us like family and are so friendly and accommodating, they are the reason we keep returning. I would like to point out a few staff members who truly went above and beyond. (my apologies if I've forgotten anyone) My husband caught his toe on one of the loungers at the beach and really gouged it. Joel one of the beach staff noticed and called "first aid/security" for us. Enrique arrived so quickly and did an exceptional job of cleaning and bandaging my husband's toe. He was very professional and efficient and really took his time - please extend our thanks! The entire beach team of Joel, Jimmy, Nicholas, Merlin, Filiberta, Nico, Luis, Antonio, Gilbraith & Pamela The Basanno team of Daniel, Carlos, Eduardo, Alberta, Armando and Veronica. and the wonderful Cafe Maya team who make awesome americanos! and are so friendly first thing in the morning. and Gabriella in Guest Services, who always looks after our dining reservations and makes us feel so special and welcome! We look forward to seeing everyone in January!

When they say five star, this is what they mean. From entrance to exit, Fairmont Mayakoba is luxury defined. The massive grounds are a pleasure to walk around at all times. Karts, bicycles and boats, are available for those who don't want to walk. Then there is the room. Massive, relaxing, and soft beds that make sleeping a breeze. Throw your luggage everywhere, kick off your shoes and head for either the bathroom for a long hot bath or a quick cold shower, both with a relaxing jungle background view. The amenities are too long for this review, just know there are multiple restaurants, bars, pools, and a beach. Staff is great with amazing service. All the food was top notch. You get what you pay for here, and vacation like a king. Just watch out for the racoons.
