I would highly recommend the Fairmont in downtown Pittsburgh. It is centrally located, boasts well appointed rooms and very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant called “FL. 2“ was very good with great service. The hotel is located in such a convenient location, close to market Square, the cultural district, many theaters and excellent restaurants. Staying here is a no-brainer!

Not the Luxury Hotel They Claim to Be

This is not a luxury or 5 star hotel, I'd hesitate to say it is upscale beyond the first three floors of the building. I booked multiple rooms via the Amex Hotel Collection as I've had good experiences in the past with all hotels that participate in the program and this is the first that has failed to meet expectations. The hotel provided the Hotel Collection benefits for the most part. We were able to check-in at noon on check-in day. We did not receive a room upgrade for either room, however they were located next to each other. We did receive the $100 credit per room. We were able to secure a late checkout, but only until 2 PM and not 4 PM. Location is great if you're in the city for sports, everything is walkable and there are many businesses and restaurants nearby. The view from the room was great. Staff was friendly and I did get a pre-arrival and mid-stay check-in text. More on that in a bit. The lobby, restaurant and gym floors are very nice and give the illusion of a luxury property, but we're all ultimately here to stay in a nice room, right? The rooms are dated and not well maintained for a $400/night asking price, there's no way around it. To add insult to injury, valet is $65/night. A "luxury" hotel room should not have the following issues: Stains on the carpet Stains on the ceiling Stains on window curtains Rusting shower fixtures A bathroom with a half water closet with no door Peeling wallpaper Scuffed and scratched bed headboard Visible layer of dust on all surfaces Insufficient lighting, switches that are broken or don't do anything, burnt out light bulbs Dirty and basic Keurig machine Lack of complementary water ($6 if you want a single 12oz bottle from the mini-bar) Near unusable TV due to slow user interface When I received the mid-stay text asking how everything was, I mentioned the issues above and *the next day* I received an apology, an offer for some water and a dining credit, really not enough for something that should have been included as far as the water goes and the bare minimum as far as compensation. We had already had brunch at the fl. 2 restaurant earlier in the stay and we were not impressed. Ultimately we received some waters (same $6 bottles in the room), some chocolate and assorted nuts. This property does not meet the bar for the Hotel Collection and I would not recommend staying here at this elevated pricing.

L'hôtel est très bien situé en plein centre de Pittsburgh. Nous sommes arrivés extrêmement tôt (5h30). Nous ne nous attendons évidemment pas à ce qu'une chambre soit prête à cette heure. Il nous a été proposé de pouvoir nous rafraîchir au centre de fitness/spa et de garder nos bagages jusqu'à l'après-midi. On nous a aussi proposé de préparer une chambre en priorité lorsqu'elle serait disponible. La première impression est super. Quand nous sommes revenus l'après-midi pour nous enregistrer, c'était beaucoup moins convaincant. La chambre qu'on nous donne est au 17ème étage alors que la réservation mentionne entre le 18ème et le 23ème étage... On nous dira que le type de chambre réservée correspond... On oublie de nous donner le voucher pour les boissons de bienvenue que je devrai aller réclamer un peu plus tard... Arrivé dans la chambre, un stylo traîne sur le fauteuil du bureau. Ca donne une impression un peu mitigée. Ensuite tout se passera à merveille. Petit-déjeuner excellent et servi à table, ce qui est bien plus agréable qu'un buffet. Un bémol pour le petit-déjeuner. Quand je réserve un forfait avec petit-déjeuner inclus, ce n'est pas pour qu'on me dise que je peux choisir sur la carte et qu'un montant de 30USD par personne me sera déduit. C'est mesquin comme manière de procéder et ça sent la course aux revenus annexes, ce que je peux comprendre dans le bas de gamme, mais certainement pas chez Fairmont. La chambre est agréable, la vue très belle. Le lit est confortable, on y dort bien. La salle de bain est grande et bien agencée. J'adore les produits à la rose du Labo. Le bar dans le lobby n'a pas vraiment d'intérêt particulier, par contre le FL2 est un endroit superbe, très joliment décoré. Nous y avons dîné et la qualité du repas et du service sont véritablement de haut niveau. La carte des vins est également intéressante. Le centre de sport dispose de tous les équipements qui peuvent être souhaités. Le bain de vapeur est agréable. Le départ s'est passé sans soucis. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un bon moment, mais attention aux détails, c'est ce qui fait la différence à ce niveau.

Le Fairmont est un splendide Hotel situé juste en face du célèbre Heinz Hall. Il est très moderne et il est richement décoré de sculptures contemporaines et de tableaux d'Andy Warhol. Au tes de chaussée se trouve un Bar très accueillant où l'on peut déguster de délicieux cocktails dans un cadre d'exception Ici "Tout n'est que luxe, calme et volupté" .

Un accueil chaleureux par une équipe jeune et pleine de bons conseils quand on ne connait pas la ville. Notre chambre était située au dernier étage et nous avons eu une très belle vue sur le centre ville de Pittsburgh. L'hôtel est idéalement situé pour pouvoir ensuite se promener à pied et se rendre au Musée Warhol. Il y a un grand nombres de bars et restaurants à proximité.
