Great Wedding - Failed Room

Had a great time at my friends wedding. But a fail for my room, as this property is showing it's age. We got a discounted rate for staying for two nights for the wedding group rate, which as almost $1000 for the two nights. A lot of money for a room that was so small where you couldn't anything out in the bathroom as there was no counter. (my friends toiletry bag fell off this little shelf into the toilet). Anyway not worth the money as I could have stayed at the Royal York for the money.

Chateau Montebello is our home away from home. Always looking forward to spending time at Chateau. The most important thing is, the service and hospitality that everyone at the Chateau gives us. What makes our vacations so magical is the staff they treat us like family.

Dissapointing for a Fairmont.

The hotel staff was amazing. However, we found the quality of the room very mediocre. Everything seemed extremely old and in poor condition. Additionally, regarding the site, several buildings appear poorly maintained. Overall, our stay was not worth the expense. Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello stands in sharp contrast to the experiences we have had at other Fairmont locations (Banff and Quebec city).

Overpriced In Montebello

My wife and I went to this hotel for a golfing / wedding anniversary trip. The building is so impressive from the outside and the lobby provides an amazing Canadiana atmosphere. We enjoyed the lobby bar. The rest is disappointing! We had a high end room and it and the hallways were musty. The restaurant food was so overpriced, with very limited menus and frankly, not very good. Even the outdoor barbeque provided very limited choices. Breakfast was okay but exorbitantly priced. Al in all there are better higher quality places for the same or less money in Montebello. So bottom line here is overpriced, lower quality, not up to 5 start standards.
