Unfortunate First Impression Otherwise Great

Staff very friendly and helpful; room was cozy. Pools were great - highly recommend quickly going through the cold plunge and then back into the heated outdoor pool! Not busy but there was maintenance happening on the village (but to be expected during the off season). There was a prominent makeup stain on the bathrobe but other than that first impression (which was quickly resolved), everything was great.

I was really excited to stay at the Fairmont Tremblant for a conference but was really disappointed with my experience in the end. My first floor room's window looked directly onto the entrance of the hotel - I could see every guest and valet coming and going all day, and I'm sure they could see me too. The privacy screen in the window wasn't long enough to go all the way down to the floor and as a result, I had to use my blackout curtains all day every day during my stay to have any privacy whatsoever so I never saw the sun when I was in my room and had to get ready by lamp light each day. The Nespresso machine in my room didn't work - I have one at home and know them well. I never called to have it fixed because the timing was always inconvenient to do so but not being able to have a quick cup of coffee in the morning was a let down. Textiles in the room were not all clean. The lampshade had what appeared to be dried blood on it and the bed skirt was very dirty. Finally, the hotel's only parking is valet parking for $45 a day. I had a rental car I picked up at the airport and drove to the hotel, never having the windows down once. I didn't access my car once the entire time I was at the hotel and only got back in it again for the first time when I was leaving Tremblant and making the nearly two hour drive back to the airport. When I got my car back from the valet, it was so full of blackflies. They clearly had the windows down in the car while moving it and let all the bugs in. In was a horrible drive back to the airport with the flies constantly flying around, distracting me and biting me while I drove. All of this is made worse by the fact that I paid for three nights despite only staying two. My flight had been cancelled twice, making my arrive a full day later than planned. I called the hotel to let them know but they said their cancellation policy was strict and they would still have to charge me for the night I missed. Most hotels I have stayed in are able to do something for you when this happens - either refunding the missing night or providing a credit considering flight cancellations are out of your control and you are still staying for the remainder of your stay - not cancelling the reservations, just using one night less of it. I really feel that this hotel is coasting on the Fairmont name and not living up to the high standards I would expect from the chain. I wouldn't stay at the Fairmont next time I return to Mont Tremblant.

We decided to take a road trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary by staying at this hotel. We brought our little 10lb dog with us. Before we left we read up on this hotel, and the village. Before booking, we called and asked questions regarding the pet policy, about the rooms, where the dog can go to do her business, etc. Being satisfied with what we heard, we booked! By the way, you'd think "reservations" would ask us if this was a "special visit", or "are you celebrating an event" considering the distance we were about to drive, but nope. Some of the things people said the hotel did for their pup (on TA reviews) or what was verbally said to us on the phone, didn't happen. Not upset, just saying. We went at the end of May. We found out.... they don't cut the grass till June. So when we pulled up to the fancy hotel, we were like "where's the grass", cause all we say were weeds/tall grasses. Our pup is 10lbs, maybe a foot high, and that's basically the height of the grass/weeds we saw. So, it was a pain to find short grass she could use during our stay. The Hilton next door has decent lush grass. This chore of finding grass early morning, and at bedtime was annoying. Leaving me bitter about my stay, since we did everything we could prior to us making this 6 hour drive. If I had only asked....do you cut your grass!? I did complain to an assistant manager. She understood what I said, acknowledged my key points, but at the end of the day....they don't care, or pretend to understand then hope they don't see you again. No matter what their response is to this review, that is the bottom line. If you want to stay here with a SMALL pet/dog, go after June 1st, or stay at the Hilton. The Westin has a courtyard with a decent grassy area too. BY the time we settled in from our long drive, it was 8pm. We ordered room service, which was quick and fancy. They actually roll up a cart with your food on it, rather than just hand you some plates....like other hotels do. This was a nice surprise. A few tips.... Wear long sleeved shirts, pants and a hat. We got lot's of bites (and a few large golf ball bites) to take away as a reminder of our stay. Call the hotel before you book to ask if they are hosting any conventions? Because THEY are priority, not you. In the morning, I just like to grab a quick coffee and a pastry. But I couldn't find anything quick and easy like that at the hotel. Nor did the village have anything that was "close" walk from the hotel. When we left after our 2 night stay, we had $1500.00 worth of credit card charges/hold. Of that, our bill was $840ish. Keep this in mind if your continuing onto another destination where you'll be using that card. It took a week for the hold to drop off. In conclusion, I didn't enjoy my anniversary at this hotel.

I have family in Tremblant and the Fairmont is our go to spot! We’ve stayed there several times and it never disappoints. Love that it’s dog friendly, the restaurant and coffee bar is amazing and the staff if top notch. We feel right at home there every time we stay. See you next time!

I had the worst experience of my life in this hotel. It was not clean and their service was below par. They are a trap for tourists who don’t know better because of their location. I had to check out early because i couldn’t take it any longer and they lied to my face about charges.

We're sorry to see we didn't meet your expectations and are disappointed that you did not have the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.
