I stay at the Fairmont Palliser when I’m in Calgary traveling for business. When I walk inside I feel like I am home. The staff are all exceptional; From Neal greeting me upon my arrival, to the outstanding service I always receive from Tushar at the front desk, it’s just an exceptional experience each time. I can always count on Princess to go out of her way to make each stay special and this last stay, I got to know Kathy and Jameson on the Gold Floor. Talk about going out of their way to make my stay memorable. I titled this review “simply the best” because simply put, that’s what this hotel and team represent; the best hospitality In Calgary, hands down!

Arriving at the Palliser is a bit chaotic, not a lot of street parking to check in with valet, so patience is a must. We were checked in when we arrived at 12:30pm; thrilled we didn't need to wait til 3 or 4pm. The room was a great size for a Fairmont room, especially the bathroom - it was nicely updated too. The pool was nice, but smaller than expected. We ordered room service, which was quite slow, arrived cold & expensive; 1 burger with fries, included mandatory gratuity, $39. We paid a fair price of $270/night. I don't feel it would be worth more than that. I've had more enjoyable stays at nearby hotels.

I did have a problem early in my stay connecting to the internet. When I called for assistance twice, no one ever answered. I had to go down to the front desk to get the information I needed. I did receive an apologize and tray of snacks from the manager when she learded of the problem.

Always a perfect experience in this hotel . The GOLD FLOOR Team is exceptional.The banquet service for large group dinner terrific. The Hawthorne wonderful for breakfast. All staff are friendly and helpful. The historic quality of the hotel is wonderful.

The staff are so welcoming and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile or just provide a friendly smile. The room and hotel amenities are excellent. Beautiful lobby and comfortable bar. The Welcome Drink is always a nice touch. Great location close to many restaurants in downtown Calgary. A great hotel and experience
