I love the Palliser and the people who work there. Sometimes the old hotel has problems especially around HVAC. This was one of them. Room AC and Fan just wouldn't work - for 3 nights.

Check-in was great; room was good sized, but the thermostat didn't work so I had to shut it off and open my window to fall asleep because it was so hot in my room. I sat at the bar for about 10 minutes and nobody came to see if I wanted anything so I left.

The hotel is just beautiful. I love the Art Deco style. The lobby and restaurant are gorgeous. We only had breakfast at the hotel. Service was top-notch. Food was average, price was over the top overpriced. Our room was clean, well-maintained, modern, and quite spacious. The pool was beautiful but way too cold. The hot tub was very nice. Location was the best. There is a public parking garage next door, even has a connection to the hotel no need to walk the street to the hotel. It is just a couple of blocks to the walking shopping district, and less than a block from the Calgary Tower. Over a very good stay.
