A fantastic hotel…….in paradise

It’s hard to find much fault with this hotel but what it does have going for it in the Main are all the lovely lovely team members ….who cannot do enough for you and always there with a hello, a dazzling smile , and kind words …..this is absolutely one of the things that would bring me back…in particular ..Rea….what a gorgeous lady ….day in day out ….and Keisha always there with a smile …..there are so many people to mention …..rooms lovely ….big and spacious , very comfortable bed, albeit smallish against normal standards …..the housekeeping team that are usually forgotten do an amazing job…….please please stop the Sunbed reserving, we witnessed multiple occasions of people reserving on beach and then reserving around pool….saying that we didn’t have an issue as we were up early , however the thought of having to do this to ensure a bed for the days relaxation is not what I need to be doing on holiday…overall a fantastic experience , great great location , the food we eat here which was mainly lunch was lovely and drinks just as nice ..breakfast was also lovely on the days we did partake ……….still water was plentiful …albeit I don’t believe you should have to pay for sparkling water ..which is all we drink …..we would definately return

I had a hard time choosing a hotel on the West Coast. I had a budget in mind and was torn between three options. The Fairmont was running a special that made it the most affordable, so we booked it—though I’ll admit, some mixed reviews had me a bit nervous. After spending 7 nights there, I’m happy to say we’d absolutely return. All rooms are oceanfront with incredible views and perfect sunset-watching right from the balcony. The rooms themselves are very comfortable. The beach is lovely great for beach walking and collecting sea glass. The included breakfast buffet was generous and delicious—so much so that we never even needed lunch. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. I did mention it was our anniversary when booking, and while it wasn’t acknowledged (which is fine), it’s worth noting in case that matters to you. While I wouldn’t call it a true 5-star experience compared to other Fairmont properties, I’m giving it 5 stars based on value for money. Considering the price, the view, and the overall comfort, this was a great find—and I highly recommend it.

This was yet another return visit for us, unfortunately I fear for the last time as this hotel is no longer the fine establishment it once was. I had to report several things to reception and various other members of staff, and honestly is where a lot of your problems lie, the staff couldn’t care less. When we arrived, despite several emails exchanged and also booking the return airport transfers with you, not one member of staff could say welcome back, lovely to see you again, honestly quite shocking, we had requested are previous room from previous visits, you guessed it absolutely no note of this, yes we know other repeat guests did manage to get this. Only once, on the morning of day two did one member of staff go out of there way to say welcome back and how lovely it was to see us, this person I am sure probably does not get the reward he clearly deserves, he is the one diamond in the staff and you should reward him and commend him for being such a stand out member, Shane, apart from Shane no one could care less if you had guests or not. The positive points, Great location and beach, main building reception area still has a lovely feeling. Unfortunately everything else now falls into the negative section, Everything is beyond tired, and showing a complete lack of investment. Bedrooms 3-4 star at best Palm restaurant, is shocking, tired, dirty and the food offering nothing like what it used to be, the chairs are disgusting and covered in bird droppings, and management obviously can’t even see this or as they are loose cover’s could be easily cleaned. We had to request a fridge in our room, again not what you expect from a supposedly five star establishment and this was always in the room previously, what we had delivered was embarrassing as clearly had been well battered and bruised.
