COVID could not defeat the hospitality of the FRP. The people were fantastic, polite and attentive to everyone. Beautiful beach, comfortable pool, great restaurant, and best of all, sunsets from the beach bar veranda.

Was a very nice stay with no complaints! The Pool and Breakfast staff are world class, nothing is too much and they are all so kind and funny, really going beyond their call of duty to make me feel at home. Michael located at the Pool and beach in particular stood out as exceptional.

When we arrived at the hotel, the GM told us that they did not have our level of room available. Due to a double booking, he told us that we could have a downgraded room for the next three days and then he could move us back to the level of room that we reserved. He was able to get us in after two days, but it was not a great start to our time at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion. Sadly, the level of service was also spotty. There were some highlights and some of the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, but it seemed that they did not have proper staffing of the restaurant, pool, or deck area. Additionally, the hotel bar was not fully stocked in the evenings, the tennis courts were not properly kept up, even the tropical plants around the resort didn't seem to be maintained. The resort is beautifully located and the rooms are right on the beach. We stayed here 7 years ago and everything was just perfect. I hope they invest some funds in the hotel and improve the management and staffing issues.

We had an amazing staycation! Everything from the check in process on arrival (which was quick and well organised) to the beautiful modern contemporary oceanfront room which was perfect. The staff are awesome!! Well trained, friendly, helpful and most of all they all had happy smiling faces. They love what they do and we felt this. Special mention and thanks to Deidreanna and her team, Pauline, Peter, Ryan, and all of the restaurant staff. The French toast is the best in the world! The Fairmont is now my new home away from home and we will be back very soon. Team Fairmont keep up the great work! Best hotel in Barbados. Five star luxury indeed! See you all soon!

Sadly the hotel seems to have gone down hill

Whether due to Covid or other things - the service that used to be incredible has gone down hill. Beach club staff were rude, things simply didnt flow in general, our friend had Butler service but it was almost invisible - a few members of staff are outstanding and make the stay. The hotel is beautiful and was one of our favourites I have never had to talk to the GM before but felt it necessary a couple of times. I would sadly say that the impact of being an Accor hotel is clear this is not longer a Fairmont but more the beauty of a Fairmont property run like an IBIS

The Fairmont Royal was was great resort. Although slightly smaller than the resorts i have stayed in the past, it was still just as wonderful. The staff was Great and very attentive.

My stay of just under three weeks was incredible. There were a few hiccups at first, however the hotel team worked very hard to make my stay incredibly memorable. A wonderful relaxing Caribbean experience. The service received from our initial conversations with Miss Deidriana Browne at The Royal Fairmont Barbados, through to check out has been exceptional considering the challenges that we and the hospitality industry currently face. Covid 19 forced our holiday to The Royal Fairmont to be moved several times yet throughout the many lockdowns, Deidriana kept us informed of what was happening at the hotel and the updated Barbados guidelines. We took her advice as booked Platinum Service for airport Covid testing and transport and the process was fast and well executed by trained staff. We were in our hotel suite within 2 hours of landing and that included the 45-minute limousine transfer. The results received in 4 hours so we were not required to self isolate in our room for several days. We reserved a first-floor ocean view suite and was not disappointed at all. The suite is large and comfortable and offers the most amazing view of the ocean and sunsets. Housekeeping is excellent, our room was kept immaculate and refreshed every evening before bedtime. One of the restaurants was closed during our visit due to storm damage and general refurbishments but the experience in Palm Terrace restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delightful. Service by all staff was very attentive and the General Manager plus Head Chef always met with diners to ensure the experience met The Royal Fairmont standards. Deidriana organised a doctor to visit our suite to take the rapid antigen tests two days before departure, the results and government certificates were returned to us in 4 hours. Exceptional service. Our thanks go to every member of staff who went out of their way to make us feel very, very special. A few stood out, they are: - Roselle, wonderful waitress, always attentive and caring. Crystal, best meet and greet smile in the business Kyle, blends brilliant cocktails. Michael, Ryan and Shane who organised our sunbeds every day. All the housekeepers who kept our suite immaculate. And finally, the lovely Deidriana who assured us throughout lockdown times that our vacation would be magical and it certainly was. Thank you. Accor at its finest. Chris and Debbie.

Absolutely the most amazing vacation location we have ever had. Celebrating byb60th birthday at the Fairmount Pavilion made it a truly SPECIAL Birthday!!! The staff was 10 stars!! Michael Sealy the Director of rooms gets 1,000 stars for all that he did during our stay!! It actually felt as though I was on vacation in my own home!!! SPECIAL EXPERIENCE!!!
