Wir haben 6 Nächte im Pullman Phu Quoc verbracht und können die vielen positiven Bewertungen leider nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. Das Hotel hat in mehreren Bereichen deutlich Luft nach oben. Unsere Ankunft spätabends gegen 23:30 Uhr mit schlafenden Kindern war alles andere als angenehm. Der Check-in zog sich deutlich in die Länge, und im Zimmer war keines der drei bestellten Kinderbetten vorbereitet. Ein Babybett sollte angeblich gar nicht mehr verfügbar sein – wurde dann später doch noch gebracht. Das Zimmer (1809) war großzügig geschnitten, optisch ansprechend und verfügte über einen großen Balkon. Die Reinigung erfolgte zwar regelmäßig, jedoch nicht immer gründlich. Offensichtlicher Schmutz oder benutztes Geschirr blieb teilweise stehen und wurde erst nach Hinweis entfernt. Trotz Buchung für fünf Personen wurden außerdem regelmäßig zu wenige Hand- und Badetücher bereitgestellt. Alles musste immer wieder explizit eingefordert werden, was auf Dauer sehr mühsam war. Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl. Angenehmer und deutlich ruhiger war es im „Mad Cow“, auch wenn das Angebot dort etwas kleiner ist. Der Service im Hotel insgesamt wirkte leider häufig unkoordiniert. Absprachen funktionierten kaum und vieles musste mehrfach angesprochen werden. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das Team im „Mad Cow“: Dort lief der Service spürbar besser, das Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Vielen Dank an Hanh, Han, Duy und Lam. Beim Abendessen kam es trotz Reservierung zu langen Wartezeiten – besonders für Kinder sehr unangenehm. Geschmacklich konnte uns das Essen ebenfalls nicht überzeugen. Für Silvester wurde viel Aufwand betrieben, leider aus unserer Sicht nicht immer an den richtigen Stellen. Erst nach mehrfachen Diskussionen durfte unser einjähriges Kind auf einem Hochstuhl sitzen – eine Selbstverständlichkeit, um die man hier erstaunlicherweise kämpfen musste. Die Party mit DJ und Live-Musik entsprach nicht unserem Geschmack, was natürlich sehr subjektiv ist. Das Buffet war in Ordnung und ausreichend, qualitativ jedoch nichts Besonderes. Ein großes Ärgernis waren Pool- und Strandbereich: Liegen waren nahezu durchgehend reserviert, oft ohne genutzt zu werden. Laut Management sei dies clar „Kultur“. Wir haben jedoch andere Hotels in der Umgebung besucht und gesehen, dass es sehr wohl anders geht – dort wurden nicht genutzte Liegen freigeräumt und es standen jederzeit ausreichend Plätze für alle Gäste zur Verfügung. Unterm Strich können wir uns den überwiegend positiven Bewertungen nicht anschließen. Für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie besteht in vielen Bereichen klarer Verbesserungsbedarf.

Det er aldri nok solsenger, gjestene krangler om solsenger og livvaktene kan ikke engelsk. Totalt kaos. Jeg har aldri før opplevd dette på en femstjerners resort. Det er det samme på stranden og ved bassenget. Utrolig treg service ved bassenget og stranden, ventetid på 45 minutter for drikke er vanlig.
