A great location—just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre and conveniently close to Dampoort train station (so make sure to use this station instead of Ghent-Sint-Pieters if you’re staying here). Probably one of the best Ibis Budget hotels I’ve stayed in. The hotel is nicely designed, with a comfortable interior and satisfactory rooms (a bit on the smaller side but still reasonably comfortable). The lobby offers plenty of seating, a microwave, and even a small library with a rack of books. You can also rent bikes here. Overall, a really nice hotel.

I booked the Ibis budget as I just needed a place to sleep and wasn't going to be in the hotel for much of my stay. But I was shocked at the quality of the place. More like a 4 star hotel. Friendly staff, the bar man especially. Clean, comfortable and with everything you could need. Location is great as well, a very easy walk into the centre.

Currently staying at this hotel and really surprised at the negative reviews. The hotel has all the amenities you need for a budget price. The food is great and reasonably priced for the quality. We had pizza and Belgian fries which were a solid 9.5 out of 10. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but adequate.

The staff are incredibly helpful and understanding. The hotel manager is especially excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are really well decorated with a very comfy bed. I absolutely would stay here again. The location is well within walking distance of the sites to see.

Bad pasta carbonara way too salty. Ordered a salad payed for both and two beers 43 or 53 €. They offered me a free complimentary drink and when I went to get it the day after the bartender was very rude. And said that I didn’t pay for the carbonara even though I did.
