I am on holiday in Australia from UK. Have staid in 14 hotels so far and this is the only one where the WiFi didn’t work. As soon as I got in it cut out every time. I complained twice but was fobbed off with a different answer each time. Otherwise the hotel was fine

The Novotel, South Bank, is close to several attractions. Our main reason for visiting was to attend a concert at QPAC. The accommodation was small but adequate for our stay. The reception staff was invaluable during our stay. The breakfast was catered for all tastes. We enjoyed one evening there which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Dinner service: a masterclass in precision and passion. Hotel management: checked out entirely. We traveled internationally with our family of four, emphasizing the kids’ sleep needs. On arrival? Rooms misconfigured. Calls for help? Diverted to full voicemail. The operations team oozed apathy, like they were auditioning for roles at better hotels. Lego butler service? More “meh” than magic. Breakfast coffee machine? Beanless and clueless. Sustainability? A selective facade—no bottled water, but mountains of unrecycled trash. The 4:30 poolside ice cream? Always fashionably late. Bag assistance? Nonexistent. If you’re hungry, dine here—it’s exceptional. But if you’re sleeping over, pick anywhere else. Same price, less chaos.

Good stay in this hotel. Excellent location for south bank. Rooms was modern and clean, good shower and very comfortable beds. The breakfast needs some attention as the variety is limited and the hot food more often than not was cold. Overall would we return to this hotel if in Brisbane again, absolutely.

Das Zimmer im Novotel war sauber, grosszügig und modern. Das Hotel ist an einer guten Lage und man ist schnell am Wasser und bei zahlreichen Restaurants. Schade war jedoch, dass unsere mehrere Tage vor der Anreise gestellte Anfrage bezüglich Restaurantempfehlungen zweimal unbeantwortet blieb. Dies obwohl dann im Hotelzimmer via QR-Code ebensolche Empfehlungen abgerufen werden konnten (leider zu spät für eine Reservation).
