Worst Experience in our Travels Ever

The Hotel was very faulty. One lift had not been operating for some weeks the other did not show what floor you were stopping at inside the lift. The pool shown on their website belongs to the hotel next door and accessed through the Mercures lifts (we were not advised this on check in) the bar/food shown on the website does not open at least not early January the pool belonging to the Mercure is very small. If you try and phone the Hotel they do not answer at least on the weekend over a 10 hour period. I left my expensive Hair straighteners in the room. We went to the Hotel 3 times to retrieve and were told they were not there. We then said we would file a complaint with the police for theft as we know they were in the room when we left. They then said they would check one more time and guess what they found them. We got a refund for the second night we were to stay after day 1. This is not 5 star more like a poor 2 star and needs to be revamped which the manager agreed it was overdue. So probably the worst Hotel and help service we have ever been to in at least 40 years. Maybe suitable for a backpackers.

Hotel molto centrale vicino al municipio di Brisbane. Moderno,pulito,letti confortevoli. Piscina e bar all'ultimo piano con vista bellissima della città. L'aria condizionata non si riusciva a spegnere,faceva molto freddo. A seguito nostra lamentela,il general manager ci ha gentilmente offerto un late check-out.

Hanno aggiornato il nome ma hanno dimenticato di aggiornare la struttura. Peccato perché si trova in una zona centrale molto bella. Direi che è un po' démodé. Il personale è cordiale ed attento all'esigenze dell'ospite. Colazione a buffet ricca, adeguata alle stelle che mostra. Non so se tornerò.

Ho soggiornato al King George di Brisbane durante il mio viaggio di nozze, qualche mese fa e devo ammettere che è stata un'esperienza gradevolissima. Innanzitutto l'hotel si trova in zona centralissima, facilmente raggiungibile dall'aeroporto. Si trova proprio a King George's Square, fra alti grattacieli moderni, piccole chiese e qualche antico edificio e da lì ci si può spostare verso le altre zone della città (dallo shopping mall al southbank) in tempi molto brevi, semplicemente passeggiando e godendosi le bellezze cittadine L'accoglienza, al nostro arrivo, è stata carinissima. Personale molto educato, un piccolo cadeau in camera e un ambiente elegante, discreto e raffinato. La camera, situata al 15 piano dell'albergo, godeva di una splendida vista sullo skyline di Brisbane, l'arredamento era di buon gusto, comodo e accogliente. Siamo stati benissimo. Massima igiene e pulizia. Abbiamo usufruito della bellissima piscinariscaldata al 17° piano e devo ammettere che è stato molto suggestivo fare il bagno, al tramonto, in mezzo ai grattacieli. Ci sono stati regalati, inoltre, due drink al lounge bar. Ci siamo soffermati per consumarli nel tardo pomeriggio, prima di cena e anche lì, oltre alla cortesia del barman, ci è piaciuta molto l'atmosfera pacata, la musica e l'arredamento elegante un po' anni '70. Complessivamente, la mia opinione in merito a questo hotel è estremamente positiva, sono felice di averlo scelto e di averci passato dei giorni splendidi. Grazie!
