Extremely Disappointing Stay – Felt Like a 3-Star Hotel This hotel markets itself as five-star, but the experience was far from it. The room was dirty, the carpet stained, and there were flies inside — I killed three. When I reported it, the manager arrived with bug spray and offered to use it while I was still in the room. I refused. That response alone was concerning and unprofessional. The front desk rarely answered calls, and I had to go down multiple times just to get basic assistance. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told, “We’re just busy.” Room and bar service were also disappointing. The menu was extremely limited, and I couldn’t find anything suitable to eat. While the staff were polite, they were clearly untrained and unprepared to manage a five-star property. The overall lack of professionalism and service made this feel more like a three-star hotel — certainly not worth the price.

We apologize that you have noticed the presence of flies in your room during the very hot summer season. Nevertheless, we would like to mention that we have treated the hotel against them to avoid this inconvenience. We regret to read that the menu did not satisfy your wishes. However, we propose a large range of products like the Lauragais Bean Hummus, Cassoulet from the Maison Garcia, Veal Blanquette, among many other dishes that are local and high quality. Also, please note that our brasserie is open continuously from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and we also have a gastronomic restaurant open from Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. Finally, we are sorry that you could not have directly access to the receptionist as requested. We loved this beautiful hotel. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The valet parking was easy. Great easy walk into the centre and all the beautiful restaurants. The breakfast was great. The courtyard was a perfect place for a drink and also dinner.

This hotel was such a complete disaster that we shortened our say there. The room was old and mouldy with stained carpet floor, the bathroom was not clean and ice cold. After complaining, we were not offered another room and temperature in the bathroom was not fixed. Breakfast is to be taken on sofas, which in unpractical, and the buffet was not even worth a 4 star hotel. Some people were having breakfast in their winter coats! After complaint, this improved the next day. Fortunately we had a booking that allowed us to cancel our last night even if the refund was ridiculous. Avoid this place at all cost, it is not 5 stars but only rip-off.

We sincerely regret that we did not fulfill your desire for a memorable experience at La Cour des Consuls. Awful experience! We got a room in the annex and not in the main building. Room was more then dated and in needs of a total renovation. Dark brown carpet floor with a lot of stains, the room was smelling from mould, the shower was just disgusting with the drain blocked with hair and dirt, this was causing a flood on the floor. The room was ice cold, we claim this to the reception, but it did not improve. Sorry, but this must be a joke calling this hotel a 5 star hotel?? Breakfast was very poor, not even fresh fruits were on the buffet. The breakfast room installed with very low sofas so you don’t sit comfortable, even here it is ice cold, other guests were having breakfast in their winter coats… Upon checking out and later communicating our claims to the hotel, we got a perposal to receive 10% back of 1 night stay, we accepted, but it is really not enough! Stay a way from this hotel! Now the hotel manager got back to me regarding my Google review… Did not even mentioned the terrible cold temperature we had in our room for our entired stay, nor did he mention my claims regarding the dirty carpet floor or the disgusting drainage in the shower that was blocked caused of hair and dirt… Also the strange smell of mould was not mentioned.. That hotel is just very odd! Stay away!

New Year’s Eve break with friends

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for the end of December and New Year. There were four of us - two couples and we booked deluxe rooms which I would highly recommend My husband and I were in room 126 - it was a very spacious room with a fantastic bathroom and the bed was very large and very comfortable. The hotel is really luxurious and of a high quality. We enjoyed the bar each night and it does do great cocktails and beers and snacks. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and with a great selection of pastries. The staff at the hotel were very lovely and service is of a high standard - nothing was too much trouble from the front desk to the bedroom service staff and bar and breakfast Would recommend - would stay again !
