My wife and I just got home from our week at the Mercure Kooddoo Resort. The pictures on the website hardly do it justice. Our ocean villa was immaculate, and the housekeeping staff made it perfect every day. The bed art celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary that was there upon arrival was beautiful. Thanks Jilani. The buffet at the Alita restaurant was easily the highest quality buffet I have ever eaten at. The variety was not overwhelming, and each dish tasted excellent. The Vista restaurant was a great experience as well, but you need to plan ahead for dinner and make reservations. Thanks chef Selvakumar, servers Hassan and Louann. If you have any interest in Scuba diving, the water sports staff are extremely knowledgeable. If you aren’t certified, they can teach you the skills you need to dive safely, and then accompany you to view all of the coral and wildlife. Afterwards, they shared all of the GoPro video, so you can relive your experience. Thanks Marty. The bartending staff have a knack for quickly building rapport with guests. They remember your name, room number and what you like to drink in no time. These guys are the definition of “service with a smile.” Thanks Yukthi and Kamal. Punjubu, you also get an honorable mention. When weather took away my chance to use one of my guest experience vouchers, the front desk supervisor helped me out and gave me a different voucher so my wife and I could get a massage. Thanks Ella. Thanks again for an incredible experience, and hats off to the Resort Manager Stefania Banfi for running such a fine establishment.
